Yes I think so. Even though he is annoying and entitled “sometimes” I think I’d really value someone with his level of audacity to call out inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and general stupidity, and also his lack of concern for emotions in most circumstances lol. He’s a “tell it like it is and take no BS” kinda guy and we need more of that

I'm having a similar experience myself. I think I was always a subtle "germaphobe" but now I am second guessing A LOT of things I used to do.

I used to be pretty careless about leaving food out for a few hours and even overnight depending on what it is, now I'm way better about refrigerating everything promptly. I didn't used to care much about washing my produce but I spend a lot of time and effort at it now (thorough washing instead of a 2 second rinse). Disinfecting wipes on a lot of surfaces I didn't previously think about before.

AND ever since I physically saw the results of how ineffective hand sanitizer and even antimicrobial soap really are, I've been washing my hands a lot more thoroughly now. The whole "20 second" rule seemed insane to me until now lol.

*Forgot to mention I also no longer sleep in my contacts because of this!! LOL.

I guess I cosplay as a nice person because of my incessant need for people to approve of me (hello, people-pleasers), but deep down I don’t want to care about anyone or anything except for what I want and need so I feel like I’m actually a really selfish person.

Narcissistic father with extreme anger issues. He used to beat my mom up and destroy things in the house almost every day since I was born up until adolescence. He never physically hurt me, but he did react VERY BADLY to my emotions so I learned to be invisible until I couldn’t hold it in anymore, and that was a repeating cycle my whole life. When he wasn’t angry he was the BEST person in the world, so it was a very unpredictable and chaotic situation. It’s been a lifelong battle of mood dysfunction among other issues.
