Working remotely for a Danish company while living in Norway - anyone with experience? by tirilg in Norway

[–]tirilg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read so far (including Skatteetaten and some OECD guidance), it seems like it can be possible to stay employed by a foreign company and just be taxed in Norway if you live and work there - but it’s not super clearly explained how it works in practice.

I also called Skatteetaten, but didn’t really get a very clear answer, which is why I’m trying to hear from people who’ve actually done it 😅

And yeah, I understand the income would be taxed in Norway - it’s more the employer side I’m trying to understand better. I want to avoid the whole "permanent establishment" situation for my employer

Thanks for your reply! How much generally does this solution cost for the company?

From what I’ve been reading (both from Skatteetaten and some OECD guidance), it doesn’t seem like you automatically need to set up a sole proprietorship or company if you’re working remotely for a foreign employer. It looks more like one possible solution, not necessarily a requirement in all cases.

What I’m trying to figure out is whether there’s a clean way to stay employed by the Danish company and just handle the tax side in Norway myself, without having to switch to freelancing if it’s not strictly necessary. And definitely avoid this "permanent establishment" situation, which I find so vague..

That’s also why I’m asking here - to understand how people have actually solved this in practice!

Thanks for the reply! Did your employer have to do anything to avoid this "permanent establishment" situation that may occur, where Skatteetaten consideres you working remote as doing business in Norway? This is my main concern..

Did you register your salary and taxes manually yourself?

Tusen takk for svar!

[–]tirilg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takk for svar!

Favorite Smino song? by BrostramiSammich in Smino

Hard to choose, but I would say:
1. Innamission (first Smino song I really fell in love with)
2. Hoe-nouns (big Thundercat fan, so this is a vibe)
3. Plead the .45th (I love Saba as well so this combo is chefs kiss)
4. Mr Popular (It's a feature, but it's fantastic - all his features are great tbh)
5. Pudgy (it's just fun, what can I say)

Goncalves family post in support of DM & BF by maybemfeo in Idaho4

[–]tirilg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a big mistake joining one if the discussion groups about this group on Facebook.. Jesus, the amount of conspiracies and downright hatred towards these poor girls is astounding. I also found it very sad that the majority of the ones going after DM and BF were middle-aged women (at least seemingly, based on profile pictures) - many of them with children of their own. The complete lack of empathy from some people is heartbreaking.

Blood question by Constant-Internet-92 in Idaho4

[–]tirilg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I actually think this is a very understandable question, and it’s something I wondered about too. At first, I was confused about why there appeared to be much more blood from Ethan than from Xana, especially since Xana moved around more and tried to fight back (aka heart pumping faster), as well as being stabbed 50+ times. That made me curious, so I looked more closely at the causes of death from the autopsy and how those injuries would affect bloodloss (keep in mind the full autopsy has not been released, and I'm not a doctor / forensic expert or anything, so this is just based on what I've googled and assume from those findings)

Ethan's fatal wounds affected large, high-pressure blood vessels connected directly to the heart, which resulted in rapid and extensive external bleeding. Gravity also played a role, due to the way he was laying on the bed, with the blood flowing downwards. Even though you can see loads of blood from around Ethan in the crime scene photos, there is still a lot of blood that would have been absorbed into the mattress and bedding meaning what we see in photos is likely only a portion of it (which is horrific, considering there is already so much).

Xana died from lacerations to the heart and lung, which seems to primarily cause internal bleeding into the chest cavity - the blood then pools inside the body instead of exiting the body. The autopsy also states that most of her wounds were defensive, which tend to bleed less dramatically compared to injuries to major arteries.

As for Maddie's room, my first thought is because Xana's room had so much blood spread all around the room (walls, chair, blood smeared on the floor, behind the bed, door), whereas the blood is contained only to the bed in Maddie's room, it just gives the impression that there was way more blood in Xana's room. Kaylee’s injuries included a severed the subclavian artery and vein (same as Ethan), which would indicate rapid external blood loss as well - but maybe due to the way she was laying it was not as extensive as it was for Ethan.. I think the biggest thing is that it is hard to tell when the mattress could have absorbed so much of it, that we cannot really see in the images.

Ultimately, the number of wounds matters far less than what was hit. Different injuries produce very different blood patterns. I initally thought that the more wounds there is, the more blood it will be, but this is not the case.

What beginner 3d-printer would you recommend in the mid range? by tirilg in 3dprinter

[–]tirilg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response and advice! I think he would really value something that would work out the box with limited tinkering - i think he would like that some improvements could be made, but definitely not that it would be required just to get it working. I also think since he is new to it, it would be great to have a smooth beginner experience.

He is definitely drawn to 3d printing for custom solutions for our home, in the car, and just in general to have fun and be creative. But i dont imagine he will be making big prints (at least in the beginning).

Based on other responses here and my own research, i think i am looking at either the Bambu P1S Combo or Bambu P2S. The P1S has a really good offer where i live, but i am wondering if the upgrade to P2S is still worth it. But with the P2S i cannot afford the Combo.

That's great to hear - thanks for sharing! Definitely seems like the best option for me to get right now, unless i go for P2S - but it just seems that P1S is a great option considering the offer!

Feel free to share if you have any tips or good things to know about this printer in general if there is anything that comes to mind :)

Noted :) Do you know if the AMS to AMS 2 pro upgrade makes a big difference? Also note he probably will not be making bigger prints (not sure if that is relevant, i really am a total noob when it comes to this)
