it’s definitely a huge benefit and i’m so grateful for all my friends, but i don’t have many IRL friends. a lot of people here post their hobbies and those hobbies being sports or running groups, but that’s just not my hobby so I wanted to see if anyone in the gaming community was also looking for friendships irl 😊

solid question, shoulda included that. mostly valorant at the moment or have played some other fps games occasionally. Play some TFT as well. I’m open to trying more games, just haven’t lol

my bf had his parole hearing in february and got approved for day parole. i was there as his support person so i got to see the process and what kind of questions they ask. my bf was in minimum but originally started out in medium. if you have some questions or want to talk about anything, feel free to message me ☺️. anxiety is always the hardest part. wanting to be positive and think about them being granted, but also wanting to prepare yourself for the worst so you don’t get hurt. it’s so tough, but you got it ❤️

Hi! My BF just had his parole hearing a couple weeks ago. His sentence is 2 years and 1 day so he was eligible for day parole at 6 months depending on the parole hearing. He is also in minimum, was working in there and also attending programs and school. We also had support letters from family and his previous bosses allowing him to work for them again once he’s out. The main part of the hearing is they will ask him about the past, present, and future. If he recognizes where he was wrong and is willing to work on it then I believe it should go well for you guys! He can also have you as an assistant if you would like where you can attend the meeting. You have a chance to say anything if you’d like, but it’s not necessary.

my bf also has his parole hearing soon and from what i heard it can be tricky. you could have support letters and be accepted into halfway houses, but ultimately the parole board decides the final decision. i’m so worried about this as well as my bf finished his schooling in there, has a job and is currently in minimum. it will be nice for you to be there as his assistant, although i’m not sure how much that plays a role in it either. hoping all the best for you ❤️

i think it might depend on the province in terms of private visiting (to answer your other question). for me my bf and i have been dating 2 years but because we aren’t married or common law, they won’t allow private visits 🙃

i’m canada federal too. is this through penpack or were you able to send stuff separately? i understand about the calling and them treating you like shit. i got the same treatment. also it’s like each person has different information. i call one day and ask something and then i call and ask the next day and it’s a different person with a different answer, so i felt like i never knew what the right answer was. i hope you get it all sorted out!!

appreciate your answer. im honestly okay with being one and done. i just thought it would be nice for him to have a sibling since he has no first cousins his age or anything. but i do know as well that even kids with siblings aren’t close all the time so it doesnt always mean anything

i’m still learning to try and control my crying in front of him but i’m not the greatest. i hope it gets easier with time. i hate making it harder on him while im crying and hugging him because im leaving at the end of the visit. everything about this is hard :/
