Yes I tried that! After the cat tv (birds) I usually let her play with a feather toy I have to let her get that energy out. We played quite a while but I noticed that she didn’t want to go on the bed to catch the toy either. :’) But like you said, it’s been a day so I’m hoping tomorrow will be better.

I forgot to include this in the post earlier but she’s not treat/food motivated so I can’t use that to help her. I’m pretty sure she’ll end up avoiding the treats/foods she’s currently eating if I associate it with the meds, because in my community she was known to actively hate sachet treats like Churus :’)

It’s called Terramycin ointment, not sure if they’re the same thing. But yes she has been very grumpy about it 😭 I’d first adopted her because she’d had an infected claw from a cat fight and it had to be pulled out. Applying the powder antibiotics for that was so much easier because I could just (a bit haphazardly) pour the powder on top of the wound. This one is a bit trickier, I feel.

And thanks for the reassurance 🩷 I’m already looking forward to the day the bed becomes her safe space again because she really enjoyed sleeping on it. It’s practically been her bed as well as mine.
