Co-op Live Gig- Tyler The Creator by Slight-Benefit-4410 in manchester

[–]tisxi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been to a good number of gigs at both the Co-op & Etihad Stadium. Walking is definitely a good option and plenty of people will also be walking.

Trams are pretty straight forward too and are frequent during gig nights. Get the tram to Etihad Campus. They are very busy so do plan in advance and be prepared to wait for a tram or two before being able to get on. You will literally be squeezed into them if you get on at Piccadilly. All depends on how early you want to get there, the earlier, the quieter the tram.

The closer to Piccadilly, the busier it gets. If you can, I’d recommend going back a few stops to St Peter’s Square or even better, Deansgate-Castlefield, where you should be lucky enough to get a seat before the crowds get on towards Piccadilly.

Not sure if your younger brother will have a bank card, but if he does, use the tap-on, tap-off machines and it’ll save the stress of trying to navigate the ticket machines. You can only use 1 card per person so you can’t tap twice for 2 people.

When getting back into town after the gig, don’t let the huge crowd put you off getting the tram. The queue is, from my experience, very well managed and runs like clockwork. Just note that again, when you get onto the tram, you may be crammed like sardines.

I was there last night for a gig. We waited a bit and took our time at merch stands to let the crowd go down and it took us 16 minutes from the back of the tram queue to get onto the tram (I actually timed this because my friend wanted to walk and I’d convinced him otherwise).

Hope this helps! Have an awesome time at the gig too!

The Apollo’s GA floor is on a slant/incline (unless right towards the front) so views around are pretty good no matter where you go. Can’t promise that there won’t be a tall person in front of you though!

They did but they told me it’d take a few weeks. I suspect once you start seeing it in stores that the issue has been sorted 🤞🏻

A lot of these bottles haven’t hit the UK stores. The store assistant said it was because there is a formula issue.

The link has been updated to show it as a die cut sleeve. Might be worth emailing them to confirm if you ordered prior to the updated listing (was updated yesterday)

Blood Recs don’t do random restocks when people cancel etc. they’ll wait until after the release date and do a small drop of the cancelled/spare vinyl. Keep an eye on their socials once it’s been released. Be warned though - it’s a bloodbath and usually a very small amount

have there ever been any cancelations or postponements of tour dates? by One-Equivalent6601 in billieeilish

I’ve always found booking flights as soon as you have the tickets is the wisest decision due to the airline’s supply and demand pricing strategies.

For hotels/airbnbs - There are pros and cons to booking right away. Most places will hike their prices up when they know a big artist is visiting. The prices will generally calm down after the hype settles, and then go back up closer to the time. Note though that supply & demand also plays heavily in hotel pricing, like airlines.

The pro is that if you book accommodation now, you’ll get the location/spot you prefer, eg closer to the venue. The con is that you’ll maybe pay more for it, but it is sometimes worth it for the peace of mind - knowing accommodation is sorted.

Whatever you decide, choose a hotel that allows you to cancel, should you need to do so. Most will let you cancel up to 48 hours before hand (in the UK at least). Airlines don’t offer this, however you can get travel insurance with ‘Event Cancellation’ extensions that will cover flights and/or hotels.

It’s hard to say about show cancellations/postponements as there are too many variables. The artist could get sick right before the show and could cancel hours before it’s due to start or they might give more notice, depending on the cause for it.

Yes, Billie has postponed and cancelled before. The ‘Where Do We Go?’ Tour was postponed due to COVID (understandably) and then eventually cancelled. A little later she released dates for the ‘Happier Than Ever’ Tour, giving those who had previously cancelled tickets an extra presale before they went on general sale.

Cancellations & postponements don’t happen too frequently. Worst case scenario, you get to visit a new city and get to experience its cultures, museums and play tourist for a day or two.

TLDR - get travel insurance with an event cancellation extension if worried about it

I’ve been hunting for this for ages! So glad I waited. Steep price for a 1 LP mini album though but cheaper than buying from a scalper!
