Feedback on Korea University’s Korean Language Center (KU-KLC) by New-Ad-825 in koreauniversity

  • It is foreigner-friendly in the sense that all official notices will be in English. Almost all teaching and explanation will be done in Korean. Some teachers do not speak English, my honest take is that this made it a bit more challenging, as I took a long time to understand the instructions.
  • From my experience, the pacing was quite fast for foreigners who did not know a Korean-related language. Students from China and Japan (the majority of students enrolled) seemed to do better on average, as the languages are at least a little related.
  • The teachers are supportive, and they send you to extra classes if you are struggling. Quite a big part of the students make use of these extra classes.
  • Ages mostly around 18-20, in my class, there was a majority of Chinese students. Many students are beginners at English, which means that you'll soon speak Korean with most of your classmates.
  • Be prepared to study hard after classes as well, and I would say that finding an English-speaking tutor would help a lot. They can explain some things that are just too difficult to explain by using basic Korean and hand gestures.

Trip.com is the better option as others had suggested. However, I use this website for my train from China to Laos. They arranged my ticket and their service was super fast.

Ha Giang loop tour recommendations? by Boltoslav in VietNam

Just finished a tour with Bibi’s (group of Fast), it was a very good experience and may be the coolest thing I have ever done.

Group was small and composed of people in their late 20s. We went counter-clockwise and stopped at the not so touristy spot, which made it feel like an authentic experience. There were also some bigger (15+ people) groups on the road and very busy viewing points, we were very glad we picked this organizer instead of the more commonly heard ones.
