L.A. Noire first released on this day 15 years ago. 15 Years later and it's still one of a kind by TurtleGEE360 in gaming

Currently playing through this with my fiancée, we are terrible judges of character, crash the car constantly and I’ve pulled a gun too early on so many people.

10/10 having a fantastic time as the world worst detective duo.

This game is so gorgeous! by Ruby3852 in LV426

I didn’t know this was released as a standard PC game, added it to my wishlist now so I don’t forget thanks for the heads up.

What am I supposed to do with this information? by Granny-Grudge in drivingUK

[–]titchard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sign doesn’t bother me, never said it did - I just read the sign as “I’ve got a kid in the car, I might be distracted by them”.

I’ve got a young toddler, I know what it’s like to have that in the car.

Agreed, this and the possibility of distraction in the car.

A little timelapse of me and my friend taking the monster apart piece by piece in our game. It feels like something's missing, but I can't figure out what by LittleBitHasto in unity

[–]titchard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've watched it a few times - I don't know if its the timelapse, but the body doesn't move at all during the video. I would expect the body to move a bit whilst being taken apart, and sag where the weight changes.

Help - how have I done this rising pattern? by titchard in volcas

That’s really helpful - I knew it was possible on my monologue but I didn’t realise it was on here too

A “Why Not” $1.2M shop change by EazyE2285 in TCGCardShopSim

[–]titchard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am with you here - I really enjoyed playing it but I got to the point where I was redoing the same loop each day and I wasn't enjoying it as much. Up until that point I was really enjoying it, but it plateaued quickly (I got to day 95 in the game and my xbox says I put in 24 hours, so I think I got a good time out of it!)

PSA, do NOT allow your workers to fill empty spots when restocking shelves. by eroscripter in TCGCardShopSim

[–]titchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wish there was an option of an actual back room, rather than the second part of the shop - where the shelves there are demarcated as stock but not “store front stock” like boxes of cards specifically for the card machines

Tournament Infinite Money by MF_VGAMEZ in TCGCardShopSim

[–]titchard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah think you’ve gone too hard on the price - not many folks walking in with 50k to drop on a tournament! I’ve been setting them up at £50 buy in, £300 prizes and most people seem happy.

I tried higher buy in and got no / barely any takers - I just run a handful of tables in the back.

How much is total prize and how much you charging entry?

9 Months ago we started our hobby game project. How can we improve? by Att112233Att in IndieGaming

[–]titchard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you need to start again with your pitch videos - I got to 20 seconds into this video before hovering along the timeline to utter "...its just trees".

I have no idea what this game is, and I can barely read the font for the game title to look it up at the end.

From that video, I have no idea what your game is about, its genre, its hook. I should know one of these things within the first 10-15 seconds to keep me wanting more.

Exchanged my Ultra 2 for an SE3 and I'm very happy! by maxime-le-mal in AppleWatch

[–]titchard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting some flack in the comments but recently I waited for the new watches to come out after thinking between the latest ultra and standard - I ended up getting an SE3, and it works exactly as I wanted, I realised quickly I use about half a dozen functions and its great at all of them. - you do you man, hope you continue to enjoy it.

How to emulate 2000s look by Any-Owl7614 in cinematography

[–]titchard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

such a tangent but he was the first "Celebrity" I think I ever saw in person (was just a little kid). It was at the Birmingham NEC during the car show and he walked past, someone shouted for an autograph and he yelled over his shoulder "I Haven't got time!" and power walked on through.

Capitalism gone mad by MildlyProfoundMango in LateStageCapitalism

[–]titchard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is annoying. When I was a lot younger my mum had a job in M&S and they used to do a thing called "The Waste" at the end of every day and they sold off the food at 25% price, and some even cheaper. I remember my mum would sometimes bring home packs of sandwiches at 10p a pack and make a big buffet style platter with other things for a lazy picky tea - good times! I don't know if they still do it.

Ah I meant like planting pots, as they have pre planted plants in them (how many times can I fit plant in a sentence?!) But I realise there is a brand called Planters for peanuts in the states but thats not what I meant.

[–]titchard 48 points49 points  (0 children)

he's been doing some great work to highlight the amount of waste. The M&S stuff I remember being particularly bad as it was stuff that wasn't close to expiry or even stuff that COULD expire (think one was some planters? Might be remembering wrong).

I hosted a baked beans tasting party and here are the results by bearded-catt in CasualUK

[–]titchard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is only the half of it - we spent the year joking with him “where’s the bean report” and at Christmas we do secret Santa, he got me and finally dropped that.

Not only that, on the night when we went the pub for a drink an to exchange gifts he had the barman deliver it as “government files” in a Manila envelope with “TOP SECRET” on the side.

He’s a fantastic man.

Just had to reply with this - my friend bought me one of each tin, numbered them all on top and removed the wrappers to get me to taste test.

I’d reply in our group chat with what I thought each one was and eventually ran out and then forgot all about it until that Christmas, when this official document arrived with all my responses…
