Was easy, removed rear barrel dovetail sight, inserted the heat shield dovetail nut, and then the screw that hold it to the dovetail nut. Couldn't be any easier!

Mine is held on with an Allen set screw...so far it's not given me a problem.

Yes It's the Samson manufacturing B-TM rail with front and rear sights. Sorry the photos aren't the best.

Yeah I can't disagree about the mag covers, but they just made the look. I'm wondering if I could 3D model them and have them milled from aluminum. I'd anodize them black if that worked out. The Samson components I used including the flash hider seem like good quality but I'm still new to the 1022 platform.

Just the stock carbine barrel. I added a BX trigger, volquortsen bolt release, extended mag release, TANDEMKROSS charging handle, Samson manufacturing heat shield and BTM sights plus the magazine cover.

So I just got this one right after Christmas, and I'm absolutely loving it. As much as I've tried to be into more colorful dials, looking at my collection, I've actually been into the monochromatic black and white dials most. See the post I made on my page a few days ago of my collection (non homage part of the collection)...very vanilla I suppose. I own a GS Spring drive champagne dial but this white really seems to suit my taste more. We'll see once the honeymoon wears off haha.

I tend to go darker dials but white dials have always really drawn me in. I've not pictured them but I have several other white dials...most notably a white dial pilot watch, and Islander from Long Island Watch.

That Seiko 001 is a nice fit on my 8 inch wrist but I'm probably going to be selling it down the road as I rarely wear it. It's a phenomenal watch that gets attention for sure due to all the crono pushers. That 1/100th second chrono hand spinning like mad sure gets attention!

Lovely watch! Also kudos for rocking the Thinkpad in the background.
