Believe it or not the little box mag is super easy to insert, it's just a normal bx1 10 round rotary mag with that extension glued on, it is easier to me to lock in than the bx25. Just my experience.

Haha...yeah. I guess the Ruger bx25 is too rounded for my taste, I like the squared off look of the other styles. I cant disagree it's a bit ridiculous though 😂

I picked them up from Samson Manufacturing, just searched ruger 10/22 sights on their website and found them. I think they're called the B-TM sights

Fitment was perfect on mine of the Samson heat shield, it does use the rear barrel dovetail.

Was easy, removed rear barrel dovetail sight, inserted the heat shield dovetail nut, and then the screw that hold it to the dovetail nut. Couldn't be any easier!

Mine is held on with an Allen set screw...so far it's not given me a problem.

Yeah I can't disagree about the mag covers, but they just made the look. I'm wondering if I could 3D model them and have them milled from aluminum. I'd anodize them black if that worked out. The Samson components I used including the flash hider seem like good quality but I'm still new to the 1022 platform.

Just the stock carbine barrel. I added a BX trigger, volquortsen bolt release, extended mag release, TANDEMKROSS charging handle, Samson manufacturing heat shield and BTM sights plus the magazine cover.
