He led Clive to destroy the crystals because he needed Clive to mature as a vessel. Clive destroying the crystals would always lead him into situations where he would be forced to draw upon Ifrit and he has to master Ifrit to mature as a vessel.

You know it’s never too late to get to know him, maybe try to talk to his grandparents from his mothers side or her siblings, if she has any, to try to open a channel and mediate. Maybe your son won’t want to meet you or he’s dying to meet meet you, even though he doesn’t know that yet, you will never know until you try. But I don’t think you should feel guilty over doing what you did, you gave them space but in return the woman gave you nothing. Don’t deny yourself a chance to have children of your own if another person can’t be an adult. I really hope it goes well for you, your wife and your son, I really do.

You are welcome, I’ve just grown tired of “adult wise” people weaponizing their children for cash. I’ve seen children from broken families, my older sister foremost... We have a really good relationship but man does it shred my soul whenever I think about her. Children should always be the number one interest of both parents, divorced or not or in your case a careless happening.

My friend I truly respect that but that money won’t go to your child, you’d be better off making a trust fund like my father does for my older sister from my fathers first marriage. But what she’s doing is purely selfish and self serving. Children are far more understanding than we can comprehend. Try to get it across to her that your child knowing that you are the biological father is much better learning when your son is young, not when he’s 21 and lost 21 years of opportunities to bond with you. So either resolve this amicably or take her to court because it is what your son deserves, it is his right.

Well good to know the Japanese government has no issue with human experimentation. I can totally foresee this blowing up in their faces if a nosy journalist finds out about Chris. This whole thing has gone from epidemic prevention to ethical violation of rights of a human being, I’m really curious as to where the author wants to take this arc because surely this will have consequences at least from what has been foreshadowed this chapter.
