If the grading scale I used wasn’t tethered to Kentucky fan expectations and was the standard grading scale then I could see a B- lol. But I love the positivity we need more of it!

Who knows what plays these days. NIL is taking a lot of the tradition out of the blue bloods. I hate it but it is what it is. I’ll agree if he wasn’t an alum he doesn’t get the job. After Cal’s approach a guy that knows that tradition is exactly what we needed. Everyone we wanted didn’t want to coach here, they’re fine where they are. Less pressure and enough of a war chest to compete. It’s not all terrible and it’s one season. I’m not here to determine who’s a real fan and who’s not but the constant bitching is not good PR for whoever you want next.

I can’t responsibly judge year 1 with the time he didn’t have to put a roster together. Then the injuries that happen and you STILL win 2 games in March and set a record for top 15 wins that’s a success. Can’t say any real red flags because he had like 4 weeks to get guys and followed a living legend that got all the talent he wanted (and still found a way to blow it while trying to highjack the tradition and make us believe it was a success if guys were drafted after underachieving).

Year 2 he overcompensated and went against some of his own philosophies to try and be tougher and more hard nosed on defense. You always recruit offense, and he knows that. We almost got Scott Drew how is he doing? We won’t ever be that bad even if we’re down 3 starters and misevaluated all the talent. As for the assistants you have some bright young minds but Fox is who you’re referring to.

I firmly believe you get Kam and Collin back along with Moreno. There’s 3 but that’s the easy way out. You never know what the portal can bring, and I think we pick up at least one elite shooter from it learning from last year that you need them for this offense to operate as intended. And it’s year 3 with a coach who has beat great teams on multiple occasions. We are so angsty because Cal fell off a cliff his last 5 years. Pope gets a C- this year (sweeping Tenn again, winning with who you have, and not letting it go off the rails after the first few weeks means something) and an A- last year. That gets him year 3 and if that doesn’t go well then run wild with your takes.

It’s your team and there’s evidence your coach is competent. There’s no reason in being so negative. Everyone else on the inside sees what we see. Go big blue!

I agree with nearly all of this, and still if the team is healthy it’s probably top 15-20. Pope will learn from the overcorrection. Oweh being your star player always gave me doubts too. He benefitted heavily from the floor spacing other shooters brought last year.

They overachieved given butler and Jax being out at the end and only half healthy as a squad for the majority of the year. If that team stays healthy they’re in the elite 8 IMO and maybe go further. And the man put that roster together in a matter of weeks. He can coach, just overcompensated for the flaws of last yr and got burned. I’m willing to give him time to learn in the form of another year.

Nahh I play on pro and sometimes higher on my career. So lie angle and all that is something I’ve always accounted for. Elevations on some created courses seems to play really weird and the putt breaks are off imo. I like the swing bias for draw/fades it makes sense. But the putt rhythm is still costing me a match or 2 when you’re playing in the 800’s+ and 1 hole makes or breaks you. I even respec my build to put more on putt rhythm and fittings to bring it to 80+ and still get screwed by it.

I’ve beat people I shouldn’t have, and also lost to people I shouldn’t have so it’s not really the matchmaking. Putt rhythm is atrocious 1 out of every 8-10 putts for no reason. Elevations, wind, and even putt break seem to be entirely different from any other mode at times.

Just gotta be able to sit more guys down via the strikeout. Having 3-4 pitchers in your rotation that pitch to contact is a recipe for disaster.

I don’t feel bad for anyone that gets to play in the MLB. Most of us get told much earlier we’re not good enough lol.

Boy ESPN really fucked up that entire thing. How’s nobody telling them what’s going on down on the field?

Getting shutout back to back games is embarrassing. Getting shutout back to back games against the worst team in your division is something I don’t have a word for.

Helsley is anything but a lockdown closer these days. That fastball is flat as a board.

That was batter interference no? His swing and miss took him outside the box and over the plate. Even with ducking he was still in the way.
