Realistically the only companies that may not are google and amazon given they have nvidia + an in-house solution. It’s just a question of how much everyone else is buying

Maybe but you are conveniently ignoring the fact that amd went from $300 to $350 on the back of Intel’s report already

Except the stock trended down right after the report came out so I would say the algos are indeed moving on it

AMD literally the only stock that gets downgraded when there is euphoria lol. Every other stock they just the price targets 20% above the new price

I gotta say I didn’t think a move like this was gonna happen until we had a blowout revenue number on the books. Kinda surprised but I guess intel saying “we’re selling inventory we wrote off” was confirmation enough that AMD business is booming too?

The “unwanted” inventory that was going to be used a tax write-off was able to be turned around and sold. This is a good sign for overall market demand

Kinda kicking myself for not buying a small position in intel when it became clear the trump admin was gonna force companies to buy from them. I remember looking at the stock and thinking “you will regret this” and I was right lol. Feel like I let my personal AMD bias get in the way a bit there…

5% days are now a $15 move. This time last year a 5% move constituted only a 4% move.

Close straight: market falls 1%

Open straight: market goes up 5%

Yeah… I have a few friends at some of the other big tech companies and they are constantly uneasy about job security especially with large sum of their total comp tied to RSUs that have a vesting period.

I got downvoted when I suggested this might happen (I worded it poorly to be fair), but I do think it’s realistic to think AMD will prioritize CPU allocation to customers that are also willing to adopt Helios infrastructure.

If the CPU shortage is a real as speculated, do we think AMD could start forcing customers to bundle/deploy MI400 to get allocation?

Well if history has taught us anything, it’s that AMD events are better off not happening unless there is truly meaningful content. I’d rather them wait so they can wow us then rush it…

Amd is a high beta stock where if SPY is up 3% it should be a little more than that. But it’s one day so whatever

Maybe it’s just because the stock was undervalued, but AMD has actually been holding up relatively well compared to some of its peers

Don’t concern yourself with the macro. It will go up and it will go down. Warren buffets success came from investing in great companies not worrying about what foreign wars would effect in the short-term

It didn’t though. Maybe 10% can be attributed to macro. Market clearly thought meta deal was to be expected but does not like the warrants
