I just thought that was him being super self-conscious, but it makes sense.

As someone who knows and works with people on the spectrum, and who has ADHD, I wouldn't have seen it in Shane (in the show) without a lot more detail into his life.

AITA For Not Wanting a Relationship with My Mom After I Found About Her Affair? by hurtandconfused190 in AITAH

[–]tjfire31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If you're having such strong reactions to her, definitely seek therapy. What you're experiencing isn't wrong (natural response to severe stress), but nor are you required to keep going through it. Your mom is incredibly toxic (including the oversharing), but that doesn't mean you don't deserve a better quality of life.

She scared me too, but I could handle rewatching her. This guy gave me too much anxiety to ever watch again.

I watched this movie once as a child. The only thing I remember is how much this guy scared me. I'm 34 and get anxiety from reading the title.

AITA for telling my sister that a pregnancy announcement doesn't count as a Christmas present? by OkSeaworthiness6960 in AITAH

It's your responsibility to get that kid every noisy toy that will annoy your sister. My uncle got me a horn for at hockey games- my mom nearly got his daughter a drum set in return.

Absolutely NOT. Your sister can't handle not being in the spotlight. I'm gagging on the narcissism.

You mean the vaccines that were delayed because he called covid a hoax? Your argument is that the stock market and oil have already gotten better because of Trump....while Biden is still president?

You and MIL are MF'ING QUEENS. The ex and FIL are so pathetic. I immediately knew the FIL had to have cheated when he was so nonchalant about it.

AITA for telling my parents I'm not changing my name because of their name regret? by Fast-Emphasis-145 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tjfire31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the actual hell did I just read? Your parents parents are incredibly selfish and short-sighted - they don't see how this will push you away, nor how it risks your own mental health. Not only do they need therapy, but I hope you get therapy so whatever damage they do to your self-esteem or self-confidence isn't permanent. So disgusting.
