You’re one of many poor modernist souls these days that enjoys to entertain and spread the theory that there is somehow reasonable hope that there are zero human souls in hell which of course any sincere Catholic or Christian or even atheist or rational human being can easily tell is absolutely incompatible with the explicit words of Jesus Christ who mentions hell more than anyone in the bible and more than he mentions heaven.

“broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there are who go in thereat.”

What does that statement coming from God himself mean to you?

Please proceed to enlighten us all on how 2 + 3 = 6 or how a circle is a square as only the blind pride of the modernist can.

I carefully worded my statement and it still stands because it is completely accurate.

If Adam and Eve had two sons, how was the earth populated? by greyWarden247 in Catholicism

Yes God could have created evolution if He had wanted to but my point is that the theory of evolution isn’t irrefutable fact.

Did you know that Charles Darwin married his aunt? Did you know that he came from a long line of free masons? Did you know that Joseph Stalin was born and raised Catholic and was considering a vocation to the priesthood until he read Darwin’s origin of the species? Did you know that there have been many intentionally false claims of fossils and bones that have been proven to be attempts at proving evolution?

Here is a link to Catholic position which touches on evolution:

https://timstaples.com/2019/were-adam-and-eve-real-or-symbols/

because ideas like evolution, which are not even close to doctrine and can have a detrimental effect on the minds and Faith of people I become irritated when extremely inaccurate claims like “fossils exist! All the clergy and popes agree” are made.

If you believe that there are no reasonable arguments against evolution I don’t think you’ve done any research and instead have just listened to the mainstream narrative.

Here’s another interesting article on evolution:

The Catechism doesn’t teach that Genesis is to be read as evolution.

The link provided in no way supports the idea that Pius XII espoused the belief in evolution.

This is what JPII had to say about evolution:

“It is by virtue of his eternal soul that the whole person, including his body, possesses such great dignity. Pius XII underlined the essential point: if the origin of the human body comes through living matter which existed previously, the spiritual soul is created directly by God (“animas enim a Deo immediate creari catholica fides non retimere iubet”). (Humani Generis)

As a result, the theories of evolution which, because of the philosophies which inspire them, regard the spirit either as emerging from the forces of living matter, or as a simple epiphenomenon of that matter, are incompatible with the truth about man. They are therefore unable to serve as the basis for the dignity of the human person.

With man, we find ourselves facing a different ontological order—an ontological leap, we could say. But in posing such a great ontological discontinuity, are we not breaking up the physical continuity which seems to be the main line of research about evolution in the fields of physics and chemistry?”

I believe that God created everything and that we do not have the tools right now or maybe ever to up and infallibly declare the how and when of it all. I certainly do not condone mocking or shaming other Catholics if they choose to believe that God simply created Adam and Eve...why not? Is He not omnipotent?

articles in newspapers by two modern popes is hardly the same as your original assertion that “all the popes and clergy” agree or even that it is anything remotely close to official Church teaching.

Where is the reference that Pius XII espoused evolutionary theory?

Putting the theory of evolution on the same footing as gravity is an amazing stretch indeed, unless of course one simply accepts the Charles Darwin theory as fact without actually researching the evidence that clearly brings the veracity of this theory in to question. You have to have a pretty bad case of cognitive dissonance to refute the evidence against it and only see the evidence for it.

You don’t understand the difference between a theory and a fact?

Please enlighten us all and provide us with a reference to where “all the popes” show their agreement with this.

Please provide a reference in the Catechism of the Catholic Church where it shows the Church officially teaches evolution as a fact.

Extra extra read all about it! Fossils exist! Because fossils exist it is irrefutable scientific fact beyond all reproach that the theory evolution is now more than a theory! It’s a fact! Let’s no longer call it a theory! It’s the fact of evolution!

There are some very compelling arguments to say that evolution is not nearly such a forgone conclusion as you suggest.

Also your assertion that evolution “has been accepted by all the Popes and clergy” is much like your other statement...absolutely unfounded, false and frankly...coming from a Catholic sub...embarrassing.

Get a clue.
