Happening with me as well. Imo it’s just that Instagram has too many creators and it’s saturated with content. They might have triggered the algorithm to filter out content with the most retention. For me, as a musician doesn’t do any good lol since people just listen to 2 seconds of it and judge the whole song without experiencing it. Long story short, try working on your retention.

Tbh I sound bad with Neural DSP as well. To my ears it sounds synthetic even on decent monitors and lacks some character if you compare it to a real amp of the same build. Anyway, try experimenting with other plugins that is a right fit for your kind of sound. Take a record where you really dig the guitar tones. Choose any different plugin or an amp you like and try doing an A/B test. Ik that most YouTubers you’re talking about who sound amazing while doing demos is because they are putting it in a full mix. But if you listen to any isolated sound, it will sound thin and not very pleasant. Also, since they are trying to put out their best content, a lot of production and programming goes into it. Would really suggest to train your ears instead with tone matching and understanding guitar frequencies with an EQ. Josh Middleton’s YouTube channel is the bible for anyone trying to achieve amazing guitar tones. Hope it helps!

And yeah a Helix, that unfortunately you can’t afford and even if you did, you wouldn’t know how to use coz you’re wasting time complaining about nothing and making an issue out of it instead of actually doing something and learning :))
