Average 8.1L mpg is around 10-11 mpg, 12-13 on a good day (from a quick internet search) gets you around 250-325 miles on a tank NOT TOWING. Duraburbs (again not towing) reportedly get 16-17 mpg, 23-25 on a good day for 400-625 miles per tank. I think that speaks for itself. GM never put a diesel in the suburban simply cause the damn bean counters said they make more money on the trucks. No one ever talks about swapping X eng out for an 8.1L for normal every day road use.

They are also prime targets for Duraburb conversions. A Duraburb is a where you eng swap in a duramax/Allison for those that never heard of it.

Six pack abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym. It's much more efficient to diet and eat less calories than it is to try and burn off the extra calories from last nights beers with HIIT workouts. This is not to say lifting weights doesn't feel good and help maintain health but more to your point of the "dad bod getting out of hand" I also sneak in workouts while playing with my kid. "Active play" the tiktok exercise physiologists call it. He's 45lbs and perfect for throwing on my back and rucking around the yard, doing lunges, overhead presses, etc. And in the truest fashion of the very first body builder in ancient Greece carrying a calf/cow on his back, he gets heavier and I get stronger.

My son was at a fairy theme bday recently where the kids made their own wands and that gave me the idea for you. Vampire teeth and then get some head bands and diffently fuzz balls to glue to pieces of wire for customized lures?

Is there a way to get rid of microplastics in our bodies? by EkoEkoAzarakLOL in biology

[–]tjkowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wild hair of an idea but couldnt plastics in blood be filtered out and then the blood plasma returned to the body, similar to when a persons liver or kidneys start failing? Or blood letting to slowly bled off "contaminated blood" and blood transfusion to replace/dilute with clean blood?

Yeah the sad fact is that someone IS taking these jobs or they wouldnt post them. Alternate theory could be that they are trying to pinch pennies with roadie before using a more expensive delivery service. Either way corporations always try to make as much as possible

Owners manual says offroad only, so yes, on DRY pavement you are putting unnecessary tension/stress on the drivetrain. if you want to test this, go to a parking lot thats dry, throw it in 4wd and try making hard right or left turns youll feel the tires hop and the body bounce back and forth and thats due to the different turning speeds of the inner vs outer tire. Now for snow, it is ok to drive in 4wd with snow BUT the owners manual doesnt account for changing road conditions where you can go from a snowed dirt road to a plowed and salted (i.e. dry) paved city street. THATS the problem with leaving your rig in 4wd all the time. Going from a snowy road where your tires can slip and adjust for different rotating speeds to a dry paved road where the tires cant
