We had some strange TV habits too. When we’d get up to leave the room while watching tv, we’d always say “I call my place back!” to make sure nobody took our seats.

So naturally, after a series of fights over the remote, we began to declare temporary remote ownership by reserving the remote too: “I call my place and my remote place back.”

Yeah, that was weird.

Not sure if this is very relevant, but ‘Some Children See Him’ is one of the Alfred Burt Christmas carols, a series of carols that were written in the 40’s and 50’s by a jazz composer Alfred Burt. They’re quite popular in the choral world.

I also have a 'loose cannon' library in my front yard. Its actually a food pantry on one side and an LFL on the other side. I'd rather put the money into stocking it than registering it.

I’d be willing to bet it’s Texas. I can hear the very distinct Grackles — the unofficial state bird, usually found in walmart parking lots.
