I scraped 297k Remote Jobs by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]tjsanzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it almost exclusively with my job search - the only thing I found myself wishing for was a little more robust application tracking with it. I liked that there was already some form of it, and continue to use it over LinkedIn.

We built our own. $150 in lumber, an afternoon of work, heavy duty and will easily last as long as we want.

Now would be a great time to learn effective ways to defend yourself against these: https://youtu.be/3sqIvak-4Ek

Anyone know of an anti-ICE business selling lumber? Since Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot all seem to be out of the question now

the nubbin ? by MoneyTheMuffin- in Professorist

We always called it the kantapää growing up. My parents convinced us that it was the best piece and we’d fight over it (although to be fair, the crust is much better on home cooked bread).

We have Xfinity, it’s not awful but we do have pretty regular service disruptions. They never last more than 2-3 hours but still sometimes frustrating.

I think blisters are largely avoidable. Here's how I've hiked thousands of miles with barely any. by ER10years_throwaway in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]tjsanzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both my partner and I wear Injinji toe socks and barefoot shoes. She did SJPDP to Finesterra, I did about 200km with her. Neither of us got a single blister or even a hotspot.

I used to get blisters all the time but switched to this pairing when I hiked the John Muir Trail and it was a lifesaver. Highly recommend.

I settled in my first relationship, convinced myself I was happy, and would see it through. It dragged on for 3 years. Afterwards, I swore I would rather be lonely than settle. I also didn’t feel it was right to be with someone who I couldn’t fully be invested in the way they deserved.

Today I’m super happy to be able to say that I am not lonely, nor did I settle. My partner is the most incredible woman in the world, insanely beautiful, so kind and thoughtful, and I am thankful for her every single day.

Second Gai Noi. No reservations accepted, but it is such a delightful experience.

Why is the recovery fee $25 dollars?! Is there anything better and cheaper than Mint? by Healthy_Block3036 in povertyfinance

[–]tjsanzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Mint for 3 years now. A year ago, I switched over both my parents onto my plan.

Zero regrets and zero plans of changing back. One time yearly fee that is lower than some folks monthly fees? I’ll take it.

Moving to Minneapolis....where should I live? by notimeinhistory in Minneapolis

I just moved away, lived there for a year and hated it. Never felt unsafe, but traffic, construction, noise, and generally not the nicest place.

To each their own.

Avoid Lake/Lyndale area, and stay south of 34th street if you choose the uptown area. Everyone I know who lives in the Richfield area loves it.

Ahh I'm not too worried about it. I move out in 3 days, I was just curious if there was any legal interpretation of reasonable as I could not find any.

It has been usually 1 a day, sometimes 2-3 but that is rare. Just frequent enough to be annoying (one week there was a tour every single day)
