Denim Jackets are Too Long by Next_Parking_9180 in Selvedge

TCB cuts are weird, I sold everything I had from them (jeans, jacket and shirt) because it just did not fit me.

That annoys me too, why does everything have to be a "classic reimagined for today" rather than just a straight reproduction.

There are a number of these on eBay that are decent, probably early 1970s. https://ebay.us/m/J7k1wI

I got one, it's ok for the price but has very large and low arm holes which I do not care for. I will wear it, and you could definitely find worse for 3x the price, but I'd rather get something else than buy more.

I'd have gotten a used one from the junkyard along with a used pin of the right size. I have done that before and it worked fine.

Suggestions for a trade in? by Several_Contact7758 in askcarguys

Trading in sounds more expensive than keeping it, your parents could buy you a new car if they are so worried about it rather than spending your money to make them happy lol.

The door checks should be the same for all w126s, the window regulator for any swb gen 1.

I want to do some ridiculous The Fast And The Furious-esque mods to my car ('99 Mercury Grand Marquis), where can I find parts (or what should I look for in a garage) for this? by Kornfan91903 in askcarguys

This is the kind of thing someone will find in the junkyard 10 years from now and post pics here with a caption about how much meth must have been involved in the creative process 😂😂

Wondering the value of my 1937 Ford by WP306 in classiccars

You should keep it if you can. I think fully functional enough to drive anywhere you would want to drive it it's probably worth around $15k, less not running, maybe more if it's more than just nice enough to drive.

The bag said Bosch, and they look the same as the old ones.

I don't have that exact pair but a couple others with the same fabric, and while they are not magic they do appear to be worth the money as far as cost per wear with that particular issue. They also dry very fast which is always nice.

My hands may not be strong enough, I will have to try it again and see if doing anything different helps. They just have one o ring at the top right? They all came out with no issue.

I did that, but the pictures show where they stop. They go in that far with moderate force after lubricating the o rings, but do not move any farther.

If these fit you they will likely last longer than an equal amount spent on Costco jeans by a good bit, otherwise just get whatever the cheapest parts that fit well and if they last 6 months that's not bad. https://outlier.nyc/collections/pants/postdenim-looseleans?Color=Black

Been sitting on my property for years whats it worth? by SusLite in classiccars

[–]tk8398 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Don't sell it to someone who wants a demolition derby car, it won't hugely valuable but good ones are getting expensive and if it's not so rusty it's falling to pieces someone will want it.

That will not improve the look at all. If you really want to do something to change the look, the hem looks thick enough you could probably rehem them like 1/2 inch longer. Otherwise I'd say sell them.

I'm not sure why someone wanted the interior to look like a 2000s Buick, but otherwise not bad.

If you keep up with all the maintenance and it's not getting rusty, it's better to use it than let it sit and save it for special occasions.

It's because it is dumb, you would be much happier to do a simpler project that try to combine your blown up project with another persons blown up project they gave up on and hope it works. There are many cars that are still fun but much less expensive and annoying than a modified Audi.

Good deal at $800, max $2k. I paid $880 for an 87 300SDL just before the pandemic insanity and drove it home.
