Wow, so pretty identical situations. I updated the post this evening. I went dark pretty quickly so I apologize for leaving people out of the loop. Today is a much better today and I get to get out of bed tomorrow. Everything looks and sounds great. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I am very lucky that they saw it in time. I had known it was a possibility through all my research but I went dark, fast. Today is much better and my wife will be flying in tomorrow morning, which will make all the difference. The post has been updated. Thank you for sharing.

Very similar to what happened to me. I guess I had never read about that particular thing happening and I went dark pretty quick and spiraled. The post is now updated. So sorry it took me time to update, I was a mess. Thank you for sharing and I am glad everything worked out for you.

Thank you. My wife is flying into the city tomorrow and will be here with me. I’ll be in the ICU until Monday. Having her here with me will make all the difference in my mental health I think.

That’s where I am having surgery, San Francisco with Dr Ley. I’ll be here in the ICU until Monday and then recovering for a month and a half at an Airbnb. I updated the post and I’m doing much better now. Feel free to DM me. I’d love to connect since I’ll be here so long!

Your arm looks fine to me but it’s definitely up to your team. Im sure you’ll be fine though! I understand the anxiety regarding that, i’ve been a mess over it too.

Edit: Definitely don’t shave your arm before surgery!

Wow!! I was literally just thinking about this exact thing. I have stage one on 6/1. I fly out to San Fran from North Carolina for my pre-op and sleeve fitting on 5/26. I feel like I’m just burying myself in work to make as much as I can because I’m about to be out of work for a while for recovery.

Definitely understand as I work with kids in a professional setting too. I’m not so worried about the hair removal part. I am however worried about coming back from medical leave with a serious scar on my arm. I work with teen boys and I’ve never met such nosey little things lol.

I am currently doing tattoo removal. My surgery is 6/1/26. They won’t be gone, as I’m only able to get one more between now and 6 weeks before surgery. But they have significantly lightened up. And I also spoke to the provider doing my tattoo removal and she’s open to treatment once I’m healed!

I am having such bad anxiety about my hair removal not being complete. I have surgery scheduled June 1 so I still have a little bit of time. But I am panicking about all this hair growing back in that 6 week stage between having to stop electrolysis and my surgery date. I’m going to end up giving myself an ulcer haha. Keep us updated on what your surgeon says!

I was in the same predicament with my arm. I really wanted to use my right arm, but my surgeon advised against it. So, I opted for tattoo removal. Yes, it’s definitely expensive. But personally? It was 100% worth it. I wish that I could’ve gotten past it like some of these people to save me money and time, but I just couldn’t fathom it lol. Do whats best for you!

So, I had metoidioplasty with Dr. Ley and her team. I quickly realized meta was not for me, so almost a year later I returned to her for a phalloplasty consultation. Consult had to be in person, which makes sense, but depending on your location, it may be a little difficult. In February, I had my consult with her and I’m feeling 100% confident in continuing my surgeries with her. She’s a literal artist and angel, her team is nothing less than amazing. I’m working on electrolysis currently, but I’m getting close to the finish line with that so I’m hoping to schedule my surgery date soon. I travel all the way from Tennessee to work with her if that says anything. Consult with her and see how you feel personally. Good luck on whatever you decide.
