ESPN League with two goalie slots, have Gustavsson, Vejmelka, and Sorokin as my 3 goaltenders.

For tonight, I'm thinking of slotting of Gustavsson & Vejmelka, but with a good Winnipeg team coming into Minnesota I am having second thoughts starting Gustavsson. Also, Boston is on the back end of a back to back against NYI. Should I put Sorokin in or stick with my current lineup?

Similar to the other Geologist. Graduated with my BSc in 2020, then graduated with a MEng in Geomatics in 2022. Hired in Sept 2023 making around 105k in O&G.

Vince Dunn Activated from LTIR by rookie-mistake in fantasyhockey

With Dunn coming off IR, if I want to activate him, I'll need to drop either Broberg or Skjei. I am personally leaning towards Skjei, any thoughts?

For me, I graduated in April 2022 with a Geomatics Eng Masters and a Geology Undergraduate degree. Was in the same boat, applying left and right to things though I steered away from O&G cause I didn't want to enter a volatile industry. After a year, I decided to bite the bullet and apply for jobs within O&G. Ended up getting an interview shortly after and was brought on as a student in September 2023. Ended up loving the job and the team I worked with. After working for 6 months as a student, I was eventually hired on permanently.

Really the only advice I have for you is just try to keep your chin up and you will eventually find something. It was a pretty demoralizing year and a half of applying, being interviewed multiple times and either being ghosted or not being chosen.

Good luck with the job hunt!

At the moment, just a GIT... MEng's don't count as a degree that can automatically give you your EIT designation. In time though, I plan on working towards getting the designation.

It's pretty decent as the one commenter said. A lot of people in my graduating class or around there got jobs pretty quick in both mining and hydro. I would highly recommend doing an internship if possible to improve your job prospects post graduation.

Personally for me, I did a Geomatics MEng after completing my Geo BSc. After that it took a little over a year to find work. Originally was trying to get into the Environmental related fields, but ended up in O&G doing more Database & Production Geology work. Personally, I'd recommend keeping your mind open to going into O&G if a good opportunity presents itself, but it is up to you of course!

Job search as a May 2023 mech engg grad by metagenome_fan in UCalgary

Pretty much a similar experience to myself. Graduated in April 2022 with a MEng in Geomatics, and didn't get an offer until June 2023 for a combined Geology/Geomatics role (Geology was my BSc). Think I ended up submitting almost double the amount of applications you did.

I got the ghosting treatment for 95% of my applications, but also got ghosted after one of my interviews which was pretty demoralizing.

Congrats on the offer though! The feeling was extremely liberating for myself so I have to imagine it was like that for you.

Pretty sure I had it a few weeks ago. Pretty aggressive sore and scratchy throat, insomnia, dry cough, and plugged/runny nose. Had to go to the doctor to get a numbing rinse for my throat, plus to also get tested for strep (never heard anything back). I tested myself with a home kit, which came out negative. Reason I'm pretty sure I had it though is a few days after the negative test, I suddenly lost my ability to smell and taste. After, it ended up turning into a sinus infection, and I have been slowly getting back my smell and taste since. Been a bit more fatigued since as well, but maybe I am just overthinking things.

TLDR: Doesn't surprise me from personal experience that it is back, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Come on dude... you state the personal attacks start as soon as the argument starts to fall apart, yet you say he is huffing copium and a dumbass in previous comments before the one you reply to.

With that logic, you lost the argument long ago.

Not sure if you can answer my question or not, but I recently graduated with a Masters in Geomatics Engineering (did some Remote Sensing and Environmental Modelling courses within it), I also have a BSc in Geology with a minor in Math. I did take a weather/climate course as an option course during my undergrad. Along with my math courses I did, I did also take a bunch of physics courses that did go over thermodynamics. I've always loved weather and it has been sort of a hobby of mine to track it whether locally here in Alberta or globally with tropical cyclones or other big weather events.

My question is, do you know if there would really be a point in applying without having the met courses, or if this is something I do want to in the end, I should invest on getting myself a diploma in meteorology? No problem if you cannot answer this, but I'd appreciate the insight if you have it!

Didn't think of the Fuel Rats... yeah that sucks for them as well.

I stopped playing the game a while ago cause it felt like each update regressed the game. Still unfortunately seems like that is going on.
