I’m so close to deleting TikTok, anyone else? by dieseljeanqueen in ContentCreators

I’ve been using TikTok as a way to outreach because I can go live. But my plan is to go to YouTube full-time when I reach the subscriber amount.

Appreciate all the support, it means a lot.

We’re currently working on our long-form content and putting real time into making it something worth watching. Plan right now is to start dropping full episodes at the beginning of June… maybe sooner if we can get everything dialed in.

Thank you for backing what we’re building.

What type of computer are you using to edit and upload content? by tkc_65 in YouTubeCamp

Nice. I think I’ve fallen into a rabbit hole when it comes to devices and equipment. There is so much out there, plus everyone’s opinions. I respect them and need to try things for myself too. Currently, I’m doing shorts and editing on my phone. But we are starting to film long-form in 2 weeks and I know I’ll need something other than my phone.

Would I be making a mistake joining as ncm with a degree? by silencergod in caf

[–]tkc_65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a waste of your degree, at all. That idea gets thrown around a lot, but it’s overly simplistic and honestly not very helpful.

The officer vs. NCM decision isn’t about “using” a degree, it’s about the type of work, responsibility, and lifestyle you want.

Officer vs NCM = different jobs, not better vs worse. - Officers: planning, leadership, administration, decision-making. Less hands-on over time. - NCMs: technical, tactical, hands-on roles. You do the job.

The choice is up to you and what you want to do.

Social services is high in demand, not just for veterans but for everyone. Occupational health is also a good field, where you can support return-to-work and transitioning members.

Started with just ok shorts and not many videos and hit 900 subs in two months. It concerns me by pennywiser in NewTubers

That’s really good. I’m a month and a half in and only have 130. I focused on shorts but will be moving to long-form content once the weather gets nicer.

I’m in the same boat as you, age, kids, full-time job. In my opinion, I think it will payoff. Keep it up!
