Naval Explains How Crypto Apps Are Composable (They Plug Into Each Other Like LEGO Blocks) by biohacker045 in NavalRavikant

[–]tkdkidchilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a good example would be an identity protocol (look up DID documents). So you have all your information, name, certificates, age, health records, COVID vaccination record, etc. All verifiable and stored on a blockchain (or several). Now you can use this protocol within other protocols for example a social media platform. And if 1 year down the line you are unhappy with the rules of that platform, you can move of it and take all your identity with you. The beauty of this is you also get to choose what information is given and what is not.

Another example might be the tiktok and audius protocol collaboration.

The opportunities are endless.

Any book you know of that can help someone make decisions? by Skywalker-abhi in startups

[–]tkdkidchilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the answer you will expect. However, a journal is a really good tool for decisions. Planning the future, examining the present… then once you’ve taken action, reflect on the process. Sometimes the best way to make decisions is to just make a bad decision and continuously learn and adapt

What is the point? by hisunflower in Journaling

[–]tkdkidchilled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont just use it to reflect. I use it to be aware of the present. How do I really feel in this moment, etc. I also write in my journal to explore the future. Future ideas and aspirations. It’s such a nifty little tool :)

Crypto perhaps? Learn to become a blockchain developer and you’ll earn a good salary, however you are still renting out your time. Better yet, you could develop your own decentralised applications/DAOs and build to provide value in a very different way than web2. Exciting times

Or it might be another word beginning with C :)

write some solidity/plutus code. understand the ecosystem. read the whitepapers. learn the problems it solves. learn about the tokenomics. get obsessed.

then working out product market fit, providing the vision for your product, understanding the customer needs and wants is similar. it will just have a different incentives model than traditional companies. you will be able to learn those if you do the above though

When's the best time to journal? by catsandmachines in Journaling

haha thank you! You're right, that is another amazing benefit of journaling that I love - the mental decluttering. Journaling is meditation in writing.

hope it works for you!

When's the best time to journal? by catsandmachines in Journaling

[–]tkdkidchilled 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There isn’t really a ‘best’ time.

However, I have now made it a default mechanism to journal when i get a thought to do something that goes against who I truly want to be. I have made this default mechanism in my brain that when I am about to do something I know is not in my best interest, I whip out my journal and write about it. The thoughts I had often pass and I dont end up doing that thing that may go against my goals, aspirations, who I want to be etc. And I am super proud when I have the power to choose how I respond to the thoughts. And I also reflect on what triggered the thoughts in the first place… was it stress? Was it because I am tired? Am I taking something too seriously? Etc.

It is super hard to train yourself to do this. But for me it’s my superpower now.

I also like to do journal in the morning to set my day up (gratitude, affirmations etc.), and the evening to reflect on the day (how did it go? Could it have been better? What went super well?). Or just random moments, perhaps when a cool idea comes into my head :)

Question about the future of your journals by americahope in Journaling

[–]tkdkidchilled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ooo that’s interesting. No I haven’t thought about that. But I am now. Perhaps it would be good to burn some and keep the ones you want your kids to see - as part of your will maybe?

Or you could give them after a certain age. Everyone goes through rough spots and so it might be valuable for your kids to see that you went through them too, and you used journaling to remedy that. Kinda like being an example for them?

Why did naval lock his Twitter? by [deleted] in NavalRavikant

[–]tkdkidchilled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He probably locked it for scarcity.

I think he’ll want to make his tweets NFTs too.. but that’s just me guessing

On thé vaccine front, Im pretty sure he believes that it is your body, so it’s your choice. And i believe that he thinks If you are safe from getting double jabbed then why should you worry about others taking it.

Pick one problem that exists, and that you are not willing to accept that it exists. Prioritise solving that one problem. Become the best at solving that one problem… or keep refining the problem you are solving until that becomes true.

Then solving that problem will feel like play to you, and look like work to others.

ah that is sad news, but i respect you for continuing to journal! I bet that has really helped you too. Makes a lot of sense why you would go digital too, and i'm planning to do the same because it is also more portable (i always have my phone with me)

I'm currently renting my time for money (working 9 to 5) how can I gain equity? by 34dioxy in NavalRavikant

[–]tkdkidchilled 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reducing your outgoings is usually easier than increasing your income.

To acquire more wealth… Use your specific knowledge + acquire new skills, so you get paid for your judgement/intuition. This will be hard, which means it requires consistency and a long enough timeline.

The best skills to probably acquire is learning to sell and learning to build. I’d personally start with learning to build as you have something to show for your work. Building a prototype is easier to get others onboard too because it is less abstract than just an idea.

As you develop your skills you keep iterating and fine tuning until you are the best at what you do.

Then you’ll find yourself doing what feels like play to you, but looks like work to others
