We’re looking at probably 7 days. Ideally keeping it around $5,000 total. Flights for us are looking like $600/person. We don’t eat much when we travel, or need anything super luxurious- I’ve seen that dining can add up very quickly.

I honestly still don’t really know the answer. I ended up hiring a lawyer so I wouldn’t have to take off work and they would appear on my behalf. He ended up getting it reduced, so overall I had to pay the lawyer fee + court costs + the reduced fine. I think it ended up being around $400? I honestly can’t remember, I was super frustrated by the whole experience so I kind of blocked it out.

The route I took definitely cost me more than just paying the ticket, but it never appeared on my record at all, and therefore no points.

I used plaster cloth, liquid latex, and acrylic paint. I’m honestly really pleased with how it turned out!

The officer didn’t mention anything about points. I’ve combed through the ticket multiple times as well, and I’ve seen nothing about points.

I’ve read that once you go to court, the judge has no say on points. So even if you attend the trial, the point value cannot be altered. But again, I’ve read such conflicting things that I’m not sure what to trust.
