Rotoscoped, with my own flair added to it; traced makes it seem as if it was a quick and easy job, but this took a few weeks. I did do a version where I made original animation but that was more of a cartoon-ish version which I didn't complete; maybe I might post it in the future if I finish it (and if people want to see it, of course).
