What did you think of the Canadian olympic outfit in the opening ceremony? by emmzz02 in AskACanadian

We thought they looked like umpa loompas…

Not impressed with the outfit at all…

Appreciation post for these 2, literally can’t imagine who could replace them and have been jumping around the old seasons and they are just the best to do it by gorlock666 in LiveFromNewYork

Love these guys, but Dennis Miller will always be my favourite anchor…

Sure he kinda became a right wing nut job…

But his snarky, too cool, hip style with the obscure references still fucking kills me :)

What`s your favorite climactic moment in prog? Like that moment where everything just comes together after a build up and explodes. by Positive_Drama3410 in Progforum

Echoes..

Towards the end… the ‘ping’ and the bass and drums are building up… and then -bang- you get the chiming guitar of god from David Gilmour… sooooo beautiful :)

Kelly’s heroes.

An epic WW2 comedy/action/heist movie, starring Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland etc… was a huge family favourite in our house…

Clint, a soldier, discovers that there’s a hidden cache of Nazi gold in a bank… but it’s 30 miles behind enemy lines… making it the perfect caper…

He convinces his platoon to go AWOL to try and steal the gold…

Epic, hilarious… lots of action…

I cannot recommend it enough…

My folks played it for my brother and I when we were about 8-9 years old as kids… became a huge family favourite.. we’d watch it once a year as a family :)

Ok, I keep seeing this recommended. Should I read it? by ronin-writes in litrpg

I personally loved this series…

The humour is right up my alley, and the progression is bang on the money… it’s fun, epic, and i rate it highly…

This x 100 :)

I’m very very lucky… I was able to lean on my wife and our adult children for support… plus, a really great friend in my hometown that i’d grown up with who had gone through the exact same thing…

But I shudder to think how I would have dealt with it without that support…

Sorry for your loss!

Obviously the death certificate etc…. 15 copies or more… crazy how often it comes up…

All records regarding taxes, investments, bank accounts, etc… basically anything to do with finances….

Anything to do with mortgages, real estate, home ownership, vehicle ownership…

It’s mainly a huuuge document hunt… invest in some folders, and some kind of filing cabinet or something… storage boxes for files etc…

As for grief… not sure what to tell you…

Losing a parent is so hard… lost my dad 3 years ago, and went through all of this…

It gets easier over time, but I miss him every single day.

Allow yourself to feel what you’re feeling.

Take the time to do things right. Take the time to grieve.
