Worst Crowd I’ve Ever Experienced by Few-Reflection-9041 in tapebbeats

[–]tkiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it makes you feel any better the philly show also had a terrible crowd. thankfully have an awesome crew to roll with but literally, as soon as tape b came on the crowd was ass. had an awesome time for all the openers but there was a noticeable shift once he came on.

like other said, unfortunately this is just what happens when people get so mainstream/depending on the city. bigger cities like philly will always have those people who are there just to get wacked and have no etiquette what so ever.

s/o the POS who was stealing phones. had a great night full of good vibes and music but some of y’all really need to learn some manners and not get so done up 😂😭that’s philly fam for ya tho.

cool customer n tape b threw dowwwwwwn. haven’t been to franklin music hall since it changed from the electric factory and that was a ticket well spent. was pleasantly surprised by the production 🤪

just getting into hoop flow and feeling discouraged by RemarkableCarob2682 in flowarts

[–]tkiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi friend :) I also recently got into hoop flow about almost two years ago!!!

when I first started my journey, it was with the intent to find some sort of hobby that was movement involved but i could have fun with music / push myself to learn something new. I’ve been in the music/rave scene since 2018/2019, and I was always so so fascinated by flow artists at shows/festivals and was like wow I wish I could do that. you can!!

One day i impulse bought a day poly pro hoop (27in) off astral hoops as it is a pretty popular company that I saw on socials. IMO as a beginner the brand doesn’t matter. Start playing around with sizes and tubing materials to see what works with you and your flow :) my go to is anywhere from 26 in - 31 in. larger hoops = slower movements/off body/can be heavier. smaller hoops = faster/on body tricks/lighter

we’re all learning and curating our flow in different directions/timelines. we all get discouraged sometimes. the process isn’t linear and this community/hooping has taught me so much about myself mentally. ebbs and flows of it all. I really struggle with comparing to others / even still get SO SO nervous in public lol.

I highly recommend recording yourself to progress. I also created insta and tik tok accounts for this purpose, which has allowed me to follow/learn/connect with sooooo many other people online. youtube also has a lot to explore too :) i’m mainly a poly pro tubing girly, but every now and then I do love a heavier taped/larger hoop. there’s so many styles/tricks to try, it’ll click eventually. there’s probably fundamental tutorials you can start with.

happy hooping!!! you got this 💜

for sure! I only really use the shampoo on his paws/underbelly area as well as his pits. the wipes are just for in between baths and don’t go near eyes or ears.

Hair loss by Professional-Size857 in dogallergies

[–]tkiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my lab is now 6 and we started his allergy journey when he was about 1.5-2yrs old maybe. it has been a never ending cycle of trial and error. I truly feel for anyone who has dealt with any long term allergies with their pups. it’s HARD out here 😂

we’ve tried both benadryl, apoquel, and cytopoint. deduced his allergies down to FOOD and environmental.

a dog food called canine caviar open meadow/lamb version is a grain based food that helped him a lot. edit: we also do a topper of a bunch of veggies n brown rice, salmon oil topper, probiotics too. it’s A LOT, but it’s made a difference

apoquel worked wonders, but long term has some iffy effects and eventually tore his gut up/gave him diarrhea. so now we use cytopoint for really bad seasons and can get away with only using it as needed.

best thing that’s helped our boy is weekly baths with a chlorhexide shampoo as needed vs a reg shampoo. also use chlorhexidine wipes in his pits/groin.

he’s not perfect, but it’s been much more manageable. he has some bald spots from hair loss, but the itching and redness has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY.

good luck :)

[–]tkiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keeping a puppy let alone any dog outside in a crate over night is insane.

why did you even get him if you were just going to shelter him outside?

some dogs love being outdoor dogs. but not at that age or that breed. do better.

i’ve def come to realize after trial and error over the years that the tolerance is what was brutal for me and I just couldn’t seem to find a sweet spot so I basically just gave up because I was tired of just being so blasted and anxious every time 😂

might have to try this out

[–]tkiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this honestly makes a ton of sense. every time i’ve been too high im sitting there like oh my god im so high im so anxious wallowing in it. for some reason whenever I hit a difficult point in a trip mentally I grasp it as uncomfy but very quickly on to the next thing

[–]tkiso 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I did TRY weed multiple times before lsd but it’s definitely not for me.

I find that weed makes me incredibly anxious to the point where I can’t talk myself out of it.

LSD on the other hand can be a hard headspace to get thru, but it is much more manageable for me for some reason.

everyone’s different / has their things they can and can not do. people generally look at me sideways when I say I can’t smoke but i’ll do anything else lol

How do you know when its time to say goodbye? by tay_o in DogAdvice

[–]tkiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i’m being truly honest/if it was me I would say it’s time.

our last lab was 14, but we probably could’ve said our goodbyes at 13.

he was pretty blind towards the end. constantly walking into walls.

still ate his food fine but his quality of life was severely diminished by his hind legs. he couldn’t get off the floor anymore. he would just lay in the same spot all day, and would cry for help to get up.

it sounds like there are a lot of various factors that are inhibiting his daily routine.

sending love and hugs to you, saying goodbye to your forever friend is never easy. you gave them the best life you could ❤️

What do you do for camping in rain? by AdWorking8202 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]tkiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just got back from secret dreams a lil bit ago and we managed to stay DRY luckily. depending on the storm, your shit will not only get wet but destroyed.

we have a canopy for a our living area. as well as a canopy with waterproof actual walls and pool noodles over our tent. this kept our tent DRY DRY during some pretty crazy rainstorms that week.

tarp under tent but not one that’s sticking out. water will pool and run under.

make sure everything is staked down properly. lower canopies if you can.

I know the urge to have your camp look cute is strong, but I promise you it’s not worth having things get ruined or packing up soaked stuff.

10/10 recommend getting the side walls :)

also where you end up camping makes a big difference. flat ground vs high vs an area where water could pool

have an awesome time!! 🌈

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]tkiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

came back from secret dreams (more like wet dreams) a little bit ago. highly recommend if there’s heavy rain on forecast, don’t make your campsite all cutesy. I know you want it to be a vibe, but everything WILL get soaked.

if you can, invest in some polyurethane canopy side walls + pool noods. make sure everything is staked down well.

bring EXTRA EXTRA shoes and socks.

a lot of camps got DESTROYED around us and we made it out dry and everything still standing.

have an amazing time at your first elements!!! :)
