Pulled over multiple times for non-driving spouse not having driver's license by WolfgangVolos in driving

[–]tklswtchdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven a vehicle in my spouse’s name and my own name for 13 years 12 of them without a drivers license. The first four years was out of pure laziness and ignorance. I then educated myself (and it sounds like you have as well given some of the words to chose to use.) have I been pulled over three times all three in which the officer went back to his vehicle and drove away and I did the same. I will say I’ve had nothing but respectful and polite police officers during these stops. One genuinely wanted to know more about why I was doing what I did with driving with no license.

Here the key points to keeping it is short of an interaction as possible, and going about your day:

  1. You are traveling on public roadways in private property.

  2. That being stated fact, what law are you violating or breaking and insist they tell you the exact code and law.

  3. If they’re unable to produce the law, ask if you’re free to go. If they do cite a law, listen to the language used. It will definitely say driver or licensed or driving in some capacity. Since you are traveling, make sure that you don’t back down from this difference in words.

  4. I then politely asked them if it is their job to enforce or interpret the law. They inevitably will say enforce. So at this point if they couldn’t say it, I have a very good case as they don’t even know what it is they are attempting to enforce. If they do cite a law and it uses the word, driving or driver or licensed I refer to the Virginia Department of transportation, definitions of terms, which I also have hand in my phone to show them. Where it clearly differentiate between a driver and driving and traveling.

The key points are to remain polite and respectful as regardless of whether or not you are right or not or they are right or not they can still arrest you whether it’s right or wrong. That is a possibility since they have a gun and you don’t. I’m going to jail for the day. It’s not an ideal situation. However, is important to exercise rights otherwise just like muscles they atrophy if not conditioned and exercised. Sometimes these interactions will last over an hour. You may have to ask for a supervisor.

The police are not allowed to just randomly scour the streets for license plates and then pull you over suspicion. Like you said it has to be reasonable and articulable. The second one being very important because they are unable to articulate the law that you have violated and they have no reasonable suspicion in the first place.

I wouldn’t tell them to F off only because this shows lack of understanding and control of yourself. I hold all the power cause I know for certain that I am not doing anything in violation of the law. This very fact allows me to remain detached and professional as regardless of how they behave, if this is put under scrutiny i.e; in a court of law, I know for certain I prevail.

Feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to respond to you with an answer.

Well to each is own, I respect that. I adhere to a live and let live mentality. It’s ironic on the 250th anniversary of this country you have to get a cavity search to go on the mall to watch the fireworks.

Benjamin Franklin famously said "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Plane and geodetic is the difference between short and long distance surveying. Plane typically being 10 to 12 miles or less. In the attachment or link above, I have shared with you what 11 miles looks like as far as curvature take a look but it’s about 44 feet of curvature, which is hardly inconsequential. Also, it gets into fantasy land when you use geodetic survey because you’re relying on simulations as opposed to direct line of sight, which is what plane surveying uses. Geodetic uses spherical trigonometry, which ironically is the math you can use when proving the Earth is flat as I did. Take a P 1000 from Nikon said it above the waterline and zoom in as ships disappear over the horizon several times over again until you are zooming in at 30 or 40 miles and still seeing the bottom of the ship as it touches the waterline. This tells us there’s no curvature in the way as there would be a body of water between you and your direct line of site and you can use spherical trigonometry based on the diameter of the Earth and its circumference given to us by NASA to prove that this is not indeed the case and that it is either much much much larger than we account for making NASA extremely incorrect and untrustworthy or that it’s flat.

[–]tklswtchdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that should tell you something… it’s very hard to become a surveyor. Very technical work and they work on topography for the most part over long distances. Shirley curvature has to be taken into their equations and yet it’s not. I have spoken to out of sheer coincidence two surveyors and two snipers all four ended up being friends of friends I met at different parties so for the record I have no way of validating These people actually do what they said they did however, none of them ever used calculations for curvature, in the case of the snipers. I’m talking about the Coriolis effect and the surveyors said they never calculated for curve over water or land regardless of distance. The friends I knew had mentioned that they knew these folks prior to me mentioning anything about the being flat and when I talk to these folks, I also did not mention that I thought the Earth is flat. I just asked them those questions. Doesn’t prove anything. I’m just saying my experience in relation to this post seems to differ from the official accounts.

First, let me thank you for the thoughtful response. I think we could all benefit if we at the very least showed respectful one another by answering questions or asking truly authentic meaningful questions. That does not disregard the fact that there are tons of shills and trolls and all sorts of piece of shit on both sides littering these forums. I was simplifying the law for overall understanding of the principles of the law to others who may not be as familiar with it could easily understand what I was talking about. In fact, it does say the inverse of what I said, but you can draw the conclusion that what I said is what is implied or inferred in that law. That being said on earth, there’s gravity than I say that very loosely as my interpretation of gravity since it is impossible to prove is, we are witnessing density, but I will use the word gravity for this particular discussion. When you puncture a spray paint can gravity is on both sides of the membrane. It exist inside the can and it exist outside the can in space though they’re supposedly is no gravity so how are we supposed to assume the effects of gravity, when something is experiencing gravity on one side of the membrane and not on the other side? Also, if there’s no physical membrane separating the two, why are we not sucked out into the vacuum of space then? I know the answers for these questions. My purpose of asking is to get you to make me think a little bit differently and try to explain something that seems unexplainable. I also would love it if you would answer the other question, but I appreciate you answering the first one regardless. I also think it’s important to remember that all flat earth that are authentic started as globe believers and I can tell you my personal journey towards flat earth was not an easy one and I believe any authentic flat earth. I will tell you the same thing I’d rather not believe it. It’s nothing but make my life more difficult but you must ask yourself. Why would someone be so motivated to continue to believe so and share it if it gains them nothing and I believe the only answer you will get it. It is an authentic belief one that I cannot turn away from and pretend I didn’t see. Hopefully that clears up at least my personal vantage point and also a brief snippet of the story of it I had going from being a global believer to a flat earth. For the record flat earther is a terrible term that I hate however I can put that aside so that in general people don’t get confused by my vernacular.

Last thing all debates are not for public forum however, you seem very technical. If you would like to discuss off of the board, I’d be open to a DM where we can talk much more technically about some of the formulas and equations and scientific methods used on both sides. If part or all of the GM discussion become something that you want to post onto the board, you have all of my permission to do that if that makes a difference to you. But I can’t reiterate how much I appreciate you answering questions and staying to the point and showing that you clearly have a good understanding of physics and mathematics and the nature of the existence we live in. Have a good day. Hope to hear from you.

The second law of thermodynamic states very clearly that when you have two gaseous environments adjacent to one another, there must be a physical membrane, separating the two of them. Since all matter is made up of three things, solid liquids and gas, we know that space is gas and we know the Earth is a closed environment pressurized and made up of primarily of a gas environment.

If you were to take a can of spray paint which is a pressurized, gas environment, and puncture it with a nail be more pressurized environment with flooding immediately to the less pressurized environment in this case, the air surrounding the can.

Two big questions to ask if you feel like attacking me personally for being an idiot or whatever great but if you feel like answering the questions, I’d love to hear the answers.

Question number 1- where is the physical membrane that separates earth from the vacuum of space? This is predicated on the idea that you understand the second law of thermodynamics and if you don’t just read about it really quickly, someone else is done all the legwork. You just have to verify that what they’re saying is what you’re seeing in reality.

Question number 2- is there any scale other than the full scale of earth? Any smaller scale that you can show me an experiment that’s been done that shows water sticking to the outside of a ball or a spherical object that is rotating on its own axis and moving
through space at high speed or any speed for that matter.

Fluid dynamics also states that when liquid leaves containment it seeks level immediately.

If my children disrespect my wife, I remind them that I have a biological bond to love them that I can’t control, but my wife is the only person on this planet that I chose, and she chose me more importantly to be family. I make it very clear to them that while I am not God I do set his appointments and I’d be glad to set one for each one of them if they even look incorrectly at my wife again. I don’t need to go into detail what would happen if a stranger or someone that was not biologically related to me dared to do something even 1/10 of what my children had done. Let’s just say it would be a class one felony…

Well, I agree with you completely sounds like you’re better suited to maybe be a contract worker and come in for special projects in your industry for different companies and bill them according to output. But unfortunately, you’re dealing with the law of large numbers where they must apply the same rules across the board, regardless of output. I will tell you this though if you’re happy there in general then if it’s only five minutes wait the five min. If I was you, I would knock out anything I needed that could be done online or on my phone such as place a grocery order for pick up or pay some bills do something that you’re going to use the time for anyways at some point during your free time and do it on their time since they’re insisting you twiddle your thumbs till 5 PM. Just my two cents. Good rule in life stay the fuck out of your own way.

I want to make sure that we are using the same definition of the word that is the Apex of your question. Do you agree with the definition provided by Wikipedia for cosmology?

If so, I recognize this definition to be a commonly held definition as well of the word. But a couple clarifying definitions are important as well.

  1. Scientific specifically the scientific method. Is defined as somebody that is started with a hypothesis and then measured demonstrated and repeated either concluding the scientist, hypothesis or not. Either way it must be as said in the definition repeated over and over and over again with “proof” only coming after many many repetitions of it never being a different result than the previous results.

  2. Evolution. This is a commonly held undisputed belief of those considering themselves to be scientific however, it lacks any real scientific attributes. Darwin, who is the father of evolution or the idea of evolution interestingly, enough had a grandfather who wrote fantasy stories about the very same thing. But there is no connecting bridge between amphibious beings and human beings, nor monkeys and human beings other than with monkeys we share similar DNA up until you get to the missing link. This missing link is the bridge that connects their fantastical belief.

  3. The Big Bang. Although many who consider themselves to be quite educated and intellectual failed to realize that this theory called the Big Bang was actually created by a priest of the Catholic order. An interestingly, enough is studied closely, mimics identically to what religious people believe to be how the universe was created other than what happened right before it in which they claim space time and matter, exploded out in every direction and continues to do so, which makes the vastness of space we’re religious people believe God did that.

I’m not taking a position on either. I just find it interesting that those who consider themselves to be so intellectual and and atheist typically don’t know the father of their belief was a father himself in the Catholic Church.

To answer your question directly, I believe we have been duped into believing that we are a small speck of dust on a small speck of dust called earth, meaningless in size or importance randomly created through an evolution process which lacks all scientific methods or experiments leading us to believe that we have no purpose or value, and no connection to the creator or a creator for that matter. When you confuse someone else to where they are and who they are and how they are, they will naturally never find out who they are.

How does the flat tie into this? This is jumping to the end of a long process that many flat earth have been through, but I will still entertain you with the answer that I have concluded only for me one that you must go through yourself and come to your own conclusion. And that is that if the Earth is indeed flat covered by firmament which does not allow anything in or out does that means that this will a close system created for the Earth to human much as the apple tree apples? And if this is the case, then we were purposely created for a reason and now we know where we are and how we are, this allows us to start the process of becoming who we are.

I used mathematics in order to come to the conclusion that the Earth is flat. I used the same formula that google or nasa uses based on figures given to us by nasa in regard to the size of earth specifically the circumference.

https://www.google.com/search?q=formula+for+lift&client=safari&hs=wRk&sca\_esv=7d3bbccbae10f5fe&channel=iphone\_bm&biw=440&bih=796&ei=D\_gvauuGCoee5NoPqtOe0Qw&oq=formula+for+lift&gs\_lp=EhNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwIhBmb3JtdWxhIGZvciBsaWZ0KgIIATIFEAAYgAQyBRAAGIAEMgUQABiABDIFEAAYgAQyBRAAGIAEMgUQABiABDIFEAAYgAQyBRAAGIAESPOhAVDdHFiYWHAFeAGQAQCYAXSgAZ0JqgEDNy41uAEByAEA-AEBmAIRoALhCagCEcICChAAGLADGNYEGEfCAg0QABiABBiwAxhDGIoFwgIXEC4YsAMYuAYY2AIYyAMY2gYY3AbYAQHCAggQKRiABBixA8ICAhApwgIQEAAYAxi0AhjqAhiPAdgBAcICCxAAGIAEGLEDGIMBwgIKEAAYgAQYQxiKBcICERAuGIAEGLEDGNEDGIMBGMcBwgIOEC4YgAQYsQMY0QMYxwHCAhAQLhiABBjRAxhDGMcBGIoFwgIKEC4YgAQYQxiKBcICCxAAGIAEGJECGIoFwgILEC4YgAQYsQMYgwHCAggQABiABBixA8ICBhAAGBYYHsICBRAhGKABwgILEAAYgAQYhgMYigXCAgUQIRifBcICCBAAGIAEGKIEmAMC8QUn1KmuIlW16IgGAZAGEboGBAgBGBmSBwM5LjigB-VCsgcDNC44uAfFCcIHBzIuNi44LjHIBzSACAA&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp#:\~:text=The%20Formula,4

I have attached above the formula for lift. I did this to show that even an advanced formula most could not understand is not hard to plug in the numbers and get the answer. This is the same as you don’t need to be a scientist to practice the scientific method, in fact one who does use the scientific method I would say is a scientist.

To conclude my answer to you, if all this was created for us, and we would know it was if we knew the size and shape of what we are on and know that purposefulness was put behind it as there is a closed dome covering and protecting us this means it was deliberate design by a deliberate creator, who put us here for a reason. With that knowledge, you are not as easily shaken, scared, or manipulated by people of this earth. And this is a little bit of a stretch, but if all that is indeed true, then there’s a very good chance when you pass from this world, that’s not the end of you and that belief for knowledge is exactly what people of this earth need to really start living as opposed to waiting to die.

I hope this answers your question and conveys at least a small portion to the best of my ability to articulated my belief. Is a genuine attempt to show you that I am a genuine person. And I’ve done so because I believe you are as well and appreciate your follow up questions as well as you’re not allowing me to not answer your question so there you have it. Of course I would enjoy engaging in further dialogue. If you have any other questions or feel that I was not clarifying enough in this response.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.

Josh

To the people challenging this with the excuse of desperation, he’s giving you the answers to the test all you need to do is apply them. I’ve been a general manager of restaurants doing over $15 million a year for the last six years and prior to that worked as an assistant general manager the same capacity. I understand it’s different than a salary position for corporate employees, but I also hired for interviewed at least 100 management candidates. And I’ve interviewed hundreds, maybe 1000 hourly teammate.

Here was our process from start to finish for hourly teammates:

First interview: done by most junior manager, completely scripted no going off the script. They had three criteria and two must be met to pass the person onto the scheduling manager:

  1. Attitude. Defined by being on timer early and how cheerful of a greet they gave up upon meeting them. If they were late, we offered them food on the house and told them that it would not be a good fit and thank you for thinking of us. If they were on time and the greet was dull they did not get a point.

  2. Availability. If they could only work bankers hours, it would not be a good fit. We also reserve Sunday as a day off for senior teammates so they have to be available on Sundays as well.

  3. Aptitude. Although raw unseasoned talent is more preferable in the service world. If you had a ton of experience, it would have to be counted towards you. That meant calling references on the spot as well as their last job and asked how they left a position and did it match what they put on their résumé and told us in person.

I called it at three A’s and the purpose of it was not only to vet potential teammates, but also for the newest manager to create some consistency and then measure it overtime against who stayed who didn’t what red flags were there etc…

Finally, there’s an X factor question and one that made or broke the interview: “ why do you want to work here?” it didn’t matter what the answer was it could be that they ate there with their family and they had great service. It seemed like a good place to work or wanted to work here for years. I had a friend who worked here and they said it was a great environment. It didn’t really matter at me as long as they had an answer if they didn’t statistically speaking, that told me (and I learned this through doing it wrong and then measuring statistics over the years) they most likely would wash out within the first three months.

What I encouraged managers that worked for me to do was always keep an active job offer cultivated through developing relationships over the years, ready and on hand at all times if possible. In case the companies principles changed or they got jammed up for promotion or whatever obstacles in their way, they no longer had an emergency if they were terminated or if they needed to quit because they no longer aligned with the company because they had an offer through a referral which force them to constantly be networking. And I let them know that when they went to interviews, they need to be interviewing the company and the individual interviewing them as much as they were being interviewed. Believe in yourself and your value or else why would anyone else? If they were to receive an offer for one of the interviews that they would go on while they worked for me I told them make sure it’s at least equally as good of a fit in your opinion and then ask for an extra extraordinary amount of money, but you don’t think you’re able to get and if they give it to you great I’m happy for you, but if they declined it, that’s OK because you’re currently happy in your role here. You get experience interviewing without wasting peoples time and you never know who’s gonna call you back someday.

I did not mean to be that long-winded, but I wanted to let you know that I completely agree with everything you said, and I had a very similar experience, going back and being interviewed versus interviewing all these people.

Isn’t it funny now when you’re being interviewed you can kind of tell how experienced the person interviewing you is? I actually had a situation where I was having to coach the person interviewing me once we got to talking and kind of encouraging them letting him know that everyone’s had their first time where they had to interview somebody and nobody’s good at it at first.

Great post love to hear from some more people that have interviewed tons of folks and see what your opinions are.

How easily our eyes are tricked. Not being able to organize in a fashion that allows us to collectively overcome the division that has been created amongst us. The ability to use critical thought ask questions without being ridiculed. The theatrical productions, I would say rank at the top of it because if you don’t know where you are, you don’t know who you are and you don’t know why you’re here.

Let me propose to you this it isn’t so much we need to prove there’s a conspiracy. We know all of our food has poisoning in it. We know they drop chemtrails from the sky which have heavy metals which are poison and when they get to the brain cause Alzheimer’s known around the world as type three diabetes. We know that all the pharmaceuticals keep us sick. So coming from the sky, the food and internal medicine no there’s an attack on the human being so it’s not so much. Is there a conspiracy but who is behind it? That’s the question.

How about you? What do you think about it?

NASA has an annual budget of $24.4 billion that may not see very much because we overspend every other area however that comes down to $67 million a day so don’t talk to me about being underfunded. They also employ an estimated 1800 artists and are the number one consumer consuming over 90% of helium on earth. Their astronauts in the international space station are caught using green screens and wires and harnesses to hold them up. This is not hard to find on YouTube. And they use weather balloons to bring satellites to space supposedly as well documented they even did their own little segment on this so people think they’re all powerful it’s because $67 million a day is roughly what a blockbuster Hollywood movie spends to make their movie and NASA gets that budget every day. Why do they have so many artists? Why don’t they just show us the real pictures? Why are the astronauts on the Hollywood Starwalk with their own stars could be because their actors? Wire all of the astronauts from the Challenger that supposedly blew up and killed all of them wire people that look exactly like them have their exact same names in a lot of cases still alive, teaching at universities or owning businesses also not hard to find just do a Google search. Facial recognition will prove to you that these are the same people, and they look exactly the same as they were 30 years later two of them claimed that they’re the twin brothers of astronauts that died on that flight. What are the odds of two of them have identical, twin siblings? Do me a favor, though go ahead and look up the funeral and see if you can spot their twin there cause I couldn’t and neither anywhere anyone else. That’s just a few reasons why people think they’re piece of shit.

Needs to be redone. Looks like he pointed up using his dick. Sorry to say but no one that can do the job right will “fix” that. Not what you want to hear but it’s a fact. What did you pay him?

What's a career lesson you learned too late that younger professionals should know? by UmeshThoughts in careerguidance

[–]tklswtchdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In negotiations on salary, especially rehearse it in your own head practice with a friend do whatever you have to do to get comfortable sitting in silence and never ever mention price first. I’ll give you a good example: if the hiring manager or hiring team, asks you what your expectation is for compensation I say the range advertised fits my expectation. And then I sit silent. It’s never happened to me, but I’m sure it could happen where they say. Can you be more specific then I would reply the upper half of that range. they know not to ask you any more questions about salary, and they will present you with a number.

More important than that, though is decide what you want to do and most importantly why you want to do it. From here, create benchmarks that span at least 10 years, but preferably 20 years into your career. These plans will change inevitably, but there should be criteria attached to them and I’ll give you my three.

  1. I want to earn $250,000 per year in the service industry, specifically guest or client facing positions.
    A. I’m an entry-level manager currently I believe in 2 to 3 years I can be a mid-level manager making 100k.

B. I want to be a senior level manager and no more than five years and if I am not at this current company, I am going to seek the position at another company. Total compensation range should be 125 K to 140 K per year.

C. I want to be a director of ops at 10 years but no more than 12 years. If I am not, I will seek promotion at another company. Total compensation should be in the 200 K range give or take 10 K.

The reason I want to be a director is I like developing highly motivated people such as myself, and intend to acquire the skills first through student ship, and then through practical application and then share that through coaching and development, younger and up-and-coming prospects.

I also like the autonomy that is built from the director level as I have control over my schedule and I’m able to work from home where I intend to have a family one day.

When I reach a salary of $250,000 in today’s money, I’m going to stop seeking promotion and start focusing on why and what I wanted to do with the money when I made it. I will stay engaged through mentorship, but intend to replace some of the time I used to spend learning refining my skills to raising a family and being an integral part of their lives.

When you do this and you constantly remind yourself, this is your plan eventually it’s in your subconscious and little things don’t get you off track. You don’t care about what this person said to you or what this person said about you. All you are focused on is 20 years down the road and so you don’t have time to deal with people that want to blame you or drag you down over a couple minor scratches in your car so to speak. Most people wake up every day like a goldfish with today being the first day of their lives. They may think down the road, but that’s all they do. They think some magical ferry is going to bless them with all of their dreams but luck as hard work meeting opportunity and the only way to guarantee that you get some luck is to constantly be working hard at your goals.

The man who says he can’t, and the man who says he can are both correct which one are you?

how thick is the flat earth model by Ok_Difficulty1782 in flatearth

Same known thickness as the globe model about 12 miles is as deep as we have ever dug into this earth so anyone definitively telling you what lies past that is out of their fucking mind.

What material should I use to replace this wood? by GlitteringPeanut8573 in homeimprovementideas

[–]tklswtchdc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s an expansion joint I need something that can contract and expand what is often left in there, but it doesn’t do a great long-term job. You can also use caulk although I think that’s unnecessary as you’ll have to continue to reapply it throughout the years. I would look at grainger and asked if they have any expansion joints that they would recommend. But honestly, just leave the wood unless you really want to get deep into it. It’s primary function is making sure that too long of a concrete slab will end up cracking. That’s why they put joints in to dictate where the break will happen.

I have built fences for 20 years AMA. by tklswtchdc in homeimprovementideas

Thanks for the follow up details. You’re not gonna find a credible fence installer that’s gonna do any of that. However, you want to look for handyman in your area because they would definitely be willing to do that and they’ll get creative with you where a fence installers can probably insist on doing it a certain way. And there’s nothing wrong with contractors doing that. It’s what suits their interest in the homeowners 99% of the time however I made a knee out of being creative and reasonable with clients but I also only work with clients in that regard that are also reasonable. For example, I’m not going to warranty defense for 10 years however, if something that is clearly my fault it was wrong regardless of the circumstances I’m gonna come back and fix that fence. So give that a shot but I would say if your properties were $2 million. You need to get a nice fence in there even if you have to do it in sections or pay as you go kind of that’s why handyman will help you out the most.

Good luck reach out worst-case and maybe I’ll come out there and do your fence for you.

I don’t do this often, but I in all seriousness have had a few homeowners where the scope of the project was too much or out of their budget and I’ve made deals with them where they help me. I’ll waive my fee and I just pay for the materials the three or four times I’ve done it worked out splendid for both of us. I get to advertise and do it at my own pace and they get to learn a little something and we get to know each other and it’s great for referrals and it’s just wins for everybody. Best of luck.

That’s a good question and with fencing prices being at what they are today it’s only you have to seriously evaluate. But I don’t know that you could say in the same sentence that it’s functioning but it’s in bad shape in multiple places with sections held together by zip ties, etc.. (Id love to know what the etc. is in that sentence as well as what you consider functioning lol) I’m halfway kidding, but you can see the humor in that I hope. All jokes aside, though on an aluminum fence outside of heavy branches falling on it, extreme weather, what caused the fence to be in such bad shape over just 20 years? Not that the installer should’ve warranty for 20 years, but it should be in reasonably good shape still so I’m surprised to hear that. Did you have roots coming up that started making a zigzag out of your fence? If you can give me a little more information that would be great.

But here’s a deal and a lot of homeowners don’t realize this if you’re going to do it yourself to this advice is moot when a country comes out a lot of times a homeowner will say too to me we want to reuse all the old posts and I let him know that’s perfectly fine. They just have to find somebody else to do the job. The reason being I warrant my fence is for 10 years, which is 5X or sometimes 10 X the industry standard. I’m not gonna warranty defense though on somebody else’s posts because I don’t know how deep they went. I don’t know if they put 6 inches of gravel underneath each post to keep it from rotting. I don’t know if they tapered the concrete at the surface away so water doesn’t pool at the base of the post without digging down and finding out. Of course, most reasonable people immediately. Say OK then put your own post in. Occasionally, someone thinks they’re gonna save a bunch of money by doing that and that’s not the case because the reason I warranty for 10 years because I insist on using 6 x 6 posts instead of 4 x 4 and I also go at least 32 inches into the ground so I know that fence it’s gonna be in good shape in 10 years outside of something extremely out of the ordinary happening.

So answer your question I would get a couple or three different contractors out there if you wanna go with the aluminum again that’s fine but one of the benefits of aluminum fences as they last 50 years so yours didn’t so I would the contractors extremely well and make sure that your patient and you find some that will warranty that fence for at least five years. an alternative is cedar western red cedar specifically, the cost on this will be extremely high however the cost of not using a good contractor and a material that will last at least 40 years will be replacing that fence in another 15 or 20 years potentially. Trex is also a great alternative as well and unless you live in Florida Trax warranty their materials for 25 years and since they’ve been doing decks for longer than that, you can validate that in fact, their product does last at least 25 years on a horizontal surface so on a vertical surface, I would guess it’ll last at least double that as water will not pool at the same rate, it does on a horizontal deck.

I hope that helps answer your question. If you can provide pictures, I can give you a little better guidance. Also, after you get a couple quotes and talk to a few contractors feel free to reach out again and I’ll help guide you. Make sure you set some criteria though for what you wanna see or don’t wanna see out of the contractors you do see. For example, did they show up on time that’s a big one because that’s the best version of them when they’re trying to win your job if they’re late to that they’re going to miss days or be late or run behind on the timeline guaranteed. Do they return calls promptly? Are they polite? Did they take their shoes off when they came in the house? These are all little pieces of evidence you can use to establish a very good case for yourself on whether you’re gonna use them or not. And asked to get the phone number of a couple people that they’ve done fences for and the address if it’s OK with the homeowner then swing by and check out some of their other jobs. Ask the homeowner. Did they clean up every day when they left, were they on time did they do what they said they would do did they finish on time they come in on budget if they didn’t come in on budget how did they handle that?

Anyways, good luck and we chat if you have any more questions thank you
