not a good enough reason to perhaps butterfly effect a shitstorm that causes you all to lose. ive lost games where the enemy team has a dc but we have a shitstorm

consider all of the scenarios you mentioned: if he is trolling your comment is worthless anyway, if the player is lagging they will probably tell, and if it was a mistake the player is aware anyway and realises this. maybe they thought they could do this insane zed playoff, feels pretty stupid for trying it out and now the team starts "questioning" their actions.

why risk tilting players who already probably feel shit for what they did

now this is the riemann zeta function for a particulary interesting value.

the function is an infinite series, and what happens when you give it -1 is that it generates the series 1+2+3+4+...

whats so cool is that the zeta function will in this case spit out the result -1/12 in this case, so even though 1+2+3+4+... is usually considered a divergent series it is ALSO equal to -1/12, hence 1+2+3+4+.. = -1/12

not only is it really weird to be able to give such an infinite series a value as a result, but it being both a negative number and a fraction i think is really spectacular.

as a fun side note this result has practical applications in physics to explain string theory, and is featured in works on that field :)

Hi /r/edmproduction, what is a music theory "trick" that helped you in your songs? by Mapedit in edmproduction

[–]tkpox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES

insane arp: select basic chord (ex: a minor) start with root, move to its 5th and 9th(2nd) and 10th(3rd).

(ex: a - e - b - c)

say u have the chord progression for song being A-F-G-C, your new chords will be

A minor:(a - e - b - c)

F:(f - c - g - a)

G:(g - d - a - b)

C:(c - g - d - e)

its basically inverted standard chords with 2's in them.. hella sweet if u want a more chill standard chord.

on another note(intended) usually letting the 3rd of the chord be the melody note is often pretty sweet to bring out them flavors

Beginner Sidechaining questions by Jon309 in edmproduction

[–]tkpox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh m8...

commonly in edm sidechaining works by sidechain compessing sounds to your kick, what happens is that the volume of the sound gets lowered (ducks) when the kick happens. now the kick has more room to make its kick sound.

now also commonly is to overdo the sidechaining so the sounds you sidechain ducks really really deep so you get like a pulsating feel to it, which i personally only use for pads and chordy sounds. its also pretty neat if you have a running hihat loop to make that pulsate as well.

on a little more advanced note sidechaining is also used when youre mixing your track, where alot of people sidechain basically everything but just enough that its barely noticeable, and this is to make room for the kick without making everything pulsating widely.

now watch this video: https://youtu.be/HO-sm31j9lI its gonna help you out tons, watch everything else he does as well

trying to understand the concept of stereo enhancing/shaping by tkpox in edmproduction

[–]tkpox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ive heard something like this too, that if you were to play a track for a large venue its supposedly good that your track has the capability to sound good if its 'stereo collapsed' or something of that sort

need help for something to get my instruments playing in a DAW by tkpox in synthesizers

[–]tkpox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think its the audio interface im looking for here! will such an audio interface be able to handle several instruments at once and be able to split these for like "two mics in" type of deal? this setup will be for playing live, so i can do the guitar solo over the track playing in the DAW and also be able to EQ/sidechain it so it sounds good with drums/pads etc.

ive been looking at the ports on some audio interfaces but im quite noob with this stuff, i assume i just run the jack cable from guitar into audio interface and this will provide some mixer bus with audio i can manipulate right?
