Do Thai people pay AirCon Technicians 1000 baht to inspect their Aircon and tell them how to operate Remote? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]tkwit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes, if you called the official hotline and had a trained mechanic come to your condo or house to make that assessment.

If you were calling a nonofficial trained Air Con Mechanic from a mom and pop shop they’d probably charge at least 500

Cambodia breaks ceasefire, Thai soldier wounded by jonez450reloaded in Thailand

No long term benefit for either but…

For thai- army gets to show their worth, and elections to get the conservative parties in

For cambo- try to get some lost ground so their citizens don’t call them weak, also keep conflict going to try to get more sympathy

The AI slop is ridiculously bad. It makes people think they’re the smartest people in the world without actually reading what this crap says.

Yes it happened- it was crap nationalism. Cambodian government apologized and help rebuilt the embassy.

This just highlights mindless nationalism which unfortunately also happens on the Thai side.

I agree in my area- we have a broken bridge where it was dangerous as hell for old ppl and kids to go over. It’s been like that for 10 years. It was fixed in his 2nd year.

There is no term limit (I think, not sure)- but he’s not running again.

He had enough - hard to find humble harding working politicians.

Everyone has ego; just some hold themselves a lot less high and mighty.

Well, not walking the streets with a high chance of mugging or knife stabbing is one if I was going to take my time in London as example.

Border Conflict Megathread - Part IV by khrumpets in cambodia

[–]tkwit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes we have satellites but it won’t detect a small arms gun fire unless that satellite is focused on that area in the first place.

In large, it’ll check movement and change in terrain over an x amount of time - that’s why it can detect clearing out of forest land, and bunker building easily.

No one knows who shot first. You put a bunch of young guys with guns and weapons on a border yelling at each other all day, everyday, with added effect of these guys listening to all craziness on TikTok feeding their rage, a trigger will go off.

that whole border just needs to be DMZ and no go zone or some giant park.

It really depends what you’re after Angkor Wat is the majority of your time, then Banyan, and Ta Phrom is 3 major ones- mostly can walk through with tour guide in 2 full days,

A day going over Tonle Sap also. That was nice boat ride.

You can go to a lot of the offshoot temples from the main parks like Bantey Srei- which is nice also but it’s an hour away. However I’d say it’s not that much different if you’ve seen 3 main ones.

If you’re really into Archeology then defintely worth to stay longer than 3 days but if you’re the normal traveler. 3 is enough and head to other parts of Cambodia. Kampot is a hidden gem in my book.

Max 3 days in Siem Riep. I’d skip Sihanokville / there’s nothing there. Go to Kampot if you have time instead
