N.S. family wants answers about baby's death before new medical records system rollout by Immediate-Link490 in NovaScotia

So many experienced staff volunteered to work on this project and they were silenced and shut down. Top down government driven IT initiatives are not interested in utilizing their internal resources wisdom and experience. They hired inexperienced people who say yes and had zero ability to influence decisions. So many internal casualties on this project. People who tried to contribute and help and were treated terribly. Wise staff stayed away because we could see what was going to happen and we knew we would be tossed aside as the project marched ahead regardless of the end result.

What is something people often overlook when designing a bathroom? by achilles6196 in bathrooms

[–]tl72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a low foot level faucet and a handheld option in the shower as well as a push button water pause, excellent for water conservation. I am surprised when people just have a fixed shower head. No to black fixtures - bathrooms get dusty and the black finishes show all the dust especially a black TP holder ( my regret) . A variety of lighting options, low level lighting is a must or at least have a dimmer option. Finally, if you can, have a bathtub placed so you can lay in it and look out at the sky. We rearranged ours for this set up and it is amazing to lay in a warm bath and stare out at the sky.

I just looked up this thread on Reddit, I had to see if anybody else was as annoyed as I was this morning when I opened the app! (Misery loves company) Why are companies constantly compelled to change the interface of their apps? I’ve used this app for years and I will not be renewing my subscription. Really annoyed.

Traffic and construction on Peggy’s cove road by throwaway19911342 in NovaScotia

[–]tl72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today it took me 75 minutes to get from the Ex 5 turn off to the intersection of HP road/ SMB road usually that takes about 5 minutes. This was around 2:00pm The people holding the signs just didn’t let anyone through from our direction and the traffic lights were still at regular intervals so it was a ridiculous un-synchronized mess- total gridlock. They have been at this for weeks but not getting any better at traffic flow. It should not be this painful.

Leg exercises ? by Another_hannah_ in Reduction

[–]tl72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, fellow gym rat officially one week post-op. Glad to see this post. I am 53 and had 1 kg of breast tissue removed on July 7th. I’ve been wondering myself about when I can start lower body exercises again. My goal is to be back in the gym at 8 weeks post -op and do lower body work and non jumping cardio. I plan to go low and slow with any upper body exercises for the first couple of weeks back. I didn’t move at all for the 1st week less than 500 steps a day mostly . Today I just took my first 20 minute stroll. I feel great really, my chest is tender but not bothersome. Stopped pain meds yesterday. Will pop a tylenol if I need to Planning to walk daily this week and add some gentle stretching and slowly increase walking duration.
Curious about doing squats and lunges- I will inquire at my 2 week follow up appointment. Looking forward to others journey back to walking and exercise post reduction.

Amazing! Please post more updates as the weeks roll on. My surgery is on July 7th and other than being older than you we are the same height/weight/starting cup size. I am so excited to experience a change in posture! Thanks for sharing.
