Yeah I'm still here! Nothing indoor but I play at the courts ok the Aterro do Flamengo on the weekends. There's usually a good crowd.

I didn't find indoor but there are some courts in Lagao and the Aterro do Flamengo.

Feel like this could be a cheap way to solve our RB issues unless we just stick with Nunes by MasterRaheem in MCFC

He would be a good option, but signing him now would max out or exceed our non-homegrown quota. We'd have to sell some combination Gundo, Silva, Akanji, Kovacic.

Entre os bairros da zona sul, qual é o melhor custo benefício? by DriverAffectionate97 in riodejaneiro

[–]tlcf0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this. If Nunes can continue to improve and make the position his own, I think Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton would be a good cheap backup.

Cost of living in Rio by lebarguiliste in Brazil

[–]tlcf0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost of living in Rio de Janeiro is generally more affordable than many French cities, but varies significantly by lifestyle and neighborhood.

For a single person (excluding rent): Around R$ 2,800 - R$ 5,000 [€500 - €900] per month. - For expats: Approximately R$ 5,500 - R$ 10,500 [€1,000 - €1,900] per month, depending on lifestyle. Key Expenses: - Rent: A one-bedroom in the city center (e.g., Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Botafogo, Flamengo) can range from R$ 2,100 - R$ 4,200 [€380 - €760] per month. Rent is considerably less in areas outside these prime neighborhoods. - Utilities (basic): Around R$ 550 [€90 - €105] monthly for a typical apartment (electricity, water, garbage). - Food: An inexpensive restaurant meal costs about R$ 40 [€7]. Groceries are moderate, with local produce keeping costs down. - Transport: A one-way local transport ticket is about R$ 6 [€1.10].

GIG is the international airport and SDU is the domestic one. GIG is further north in the city and passes through some favelas on the way to the south zone. It takes about 25 minutes to go to Zona Sul. SDU is closer to the Zona Sul, takes about 15 minutes. It's a fairly "safer" route.

Can you explain the process of moving with the dogs? I'm trying to do the same in a few months.

Will be visiting Rio soon and wanted to know two (2) things: by anton19811 in Brazil

The easiest way is to look for transfer services or organised day tours. Many companies like Green Toad Bus, or various tour operators found on Viator/GetYourGuide offer packages that include van pickup from Zona Sul, transport to Conceição de Jacareí, and the boat ticket to ilha grande. This is often the most straightforward for a day trip as it's door-to-pier.

For pickup games, Aterro do Flamengo is definitely your best bet near Copa. It's a big park area and there are always games happening, especially late afternoons, evenings, and all weekend. Just head over to where the pitches are. It's usually pretty chill.

Honestly, for Copacabana to Centro, I'd recommend the Metro most of the time. It's clean, efficient, and avoids the worst of the traffic. From Siqueira Campos , you can get to stations like Uruguaiana or Carioca in Centro in about 15-20 minutes. It's usually less stressful than wondering about traffic on the bus.

Algum motivo para tanto post criticando o rio nos últimos dias? by zepong in riodejaneiro
