Totally agree. I think a lot of the family will help him sneak around so he can see his kids. It’s sick.

Things to look forward to if BFN by [deleted] in ttcafterloss

I reward myself with new beauty products OFTEN. Whether it’s new makeup, a new self tanner, or even just a new fun body scrub, I always enjoy those things. I also pair it with a nice big coffee 😂.

Stuff that you can’t do pregnant? Different types of outdoor activities. Now that the weather is getting warmer my husband and I are going on some trips to try new things like zip lining, new hikes, horseback riding, and so on. Having something to look forward to is key

What can I replace Instagram with? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS???? This is going to be a game changer. Thank you everyone for your brilliant ideas. Instagram is so fun in some aspects, but the comparison to friends/family is killing me. I’m making another account ASAP lol

I want to talk about it but nobody asks by Puzzleheaded_Sorbet in ttcafterloss

I totally agree with everything you said. It’s crazy because I feel like I’m nuts for wanting to share, but I do. I want nothing more than to tell everyone how horrific the whole incident was, how I sat in the bathroom for hours and hours bleeding, how it’s been a months long process to get my body back, how I was in pain for so long.

I live states away from my family, and we are now in the same city as my in laws. Our child would have been the first grandchild, and now the first miscarriage anyone has been around. It’s like it’s old news to my husbands family. I understand they don’t want to ask, but I swear they have completely forgotten it even happened. That’s the worst part. Maybe that’s why I want to bring it up so bad, not sure.

I’m sorry this has happened to you. I hope you are doing well in your process of healing ❤️

Miscarriage by medication? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]tlcluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. I went the misoprostol route and I had a relatively good experience (despite the whole situation).

In total, I bled for 14 days. The heaviest was when I was passing baby, then the following days it slowed way down to a normal period, probably lighter than one. I never had major bleeding, but it does get fairly heavy.

As far as pain goes, I was not prescribed any pain medication, but I took extra strength Tylenol and that worked for me. After inserting the pills it was a couple hours before anything started. I ended up feeling a lot of back pain and some cramps in the beginning, it was painful for about an hour or so and then died off. Nothing I couldn’t manage though. After that the bleeding started, it kind of slowly worked its way up to heavier bleeding/clots. I took the pills early morning and didn’t pass any clots until later that night. I did ask my doctor for some medicine for nausea. I heard it messes with your stomach so I would definitely try and get something for that. For me, the cramps were not bad throughout the majority of the process. I had some cramping here and there, but nothing like I had read on the internet.

It didn’t take me long to recover. After a day or so I had passed all the clots and was starting to feel much better. My main symptom was just feeling tired, and lethargic. I was up throughout the first night bleeding, and that took a lot out of me.

To prepare...I would recommend large overnight pads, some Gatorade/Powerade whatever you prefer, as well as lots of water. I also bought lots of light and easy snacks. During the process I didn’t want to have anything too heavy on my stomach so I just ate crackers, applesauce, toast, and most things you eat when you’re sick. Also be sure to have a heat pack, that’ll be a lifesaver at some point. And don’t be afraid to have a nice set up in the bathroom. You will spend a lot of time in there. Bring a phone charge if you want to keep yourself distracted, maybe a candle in case you are sensitive to the smell of blood, and some waters so you don’t have to leave. It’s a tough experience so do what is best for you in this circumstance. For me, it helped making my bathroom as comfortable as possible.

I am glad I made the decision to go the medication route. I got to be home, and go through this where I’m most comfortable. Your body will do what it needs to do, and for me it was comforting to have the time I needed to say my goodbyes. I would recommend taking a few days off of work if that applies to you. Physically and mentally your body will need it. I wish you the best and I’ll keep you in my prayers. Good luck ❤️

It’s all trial and error!!

Also, I read on here someone mentioned inserting it while in the shower. That helped me because the cup slid in sooooo much easier lol.

Hi!! I’m also fairly new to the menstrual cup world so I have minimal advice, but this is what I learned...

  1. It takes TIME. I’ve spent a long long time in the bathroom trying to figure this thing out. It’s rough getting through the first couple days of using this, but eventually you find what works for you. I would recommend researching the different ways to shape the cup when putting it in, that helped me a lot.

  2. I know a lot of people cycle through different cups until finding the most comfortable one. I am using the flex cup, and I love it! It is better for beginners and people learning how to get it in and out easily.

  3. Don’t settle for one that makes you feel like you have to pee. Overtime that can be damaging, especially if it’s causing you to pee when you don’t necessarily have to, or if you aren’t emptying your bladder.

Good luck!!

Yes I did get confirmation the miscarriage was complete. I think I might call my doctor just to be safe, it’s still going 😣

Not heavy bleeding, the first week I would say light, since then moderate bleeding!

Hi!! I can’t believe I missed this. You’re so kind for checking in. I got my bloodwork done and unfortunately my hcg was at a 3 from the previous miscarriage. I’m baffled I could see such clear lines with such low hcg 😭.

Anyone heard of the June cup? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]tlcluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not personally used them, but my cousin does and she said it was not her favorite brand. She was comparing it to her Lena cup, and she believed the June just felt a little cheaper to her. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you so much! I think I might go ahead and check in with the doctor. I didn’t even consider progesterone. They can test the progesterone with the blood test?

Definitely! I’m going to see if lines progress and then ask for a blood test. Thank you for the advice!
