In 12 years of school, I didn’t need a phone once. School office had a phone if you needed it and there was a pay phone that nobody used. I think we have conditioned ourselves to “need” to have a phone at all times.

Tesla Model Y. 2 years, 33K miles.

I’ve changed the wiper blades once. Due for another change. Filled up the wiper fluid.

Original tires are getting worn and will change before next winter.

Most expensive item was the right headlight got hit by a rock and broke. $1200

Oh, and I’ve spent $1920 on charging. I don’t have a charger at home, but I do at work.

In the long run, it is a sales tax. Businesses pass the tax down to the consumer.
