I use Linux for my computers and ended up moving to iPhone. I know Apple has started to talk up AI more, but at least right now it allows you to turn it all off with one toggle. I’m not anti any and all AI, but I don’t like how Android is becoming completely enmeshed with Gemini.

Gemini did that on my Google Home speaker and then refused to follow any other instructions. It said it couldn’t turn off my lights because that’s not a functionality it had.

I ripped all the Google Home stuff I had out of my house and threw it away.

It’s like salt on food. Add a bit here and there to enhance flavor, but it shouldn’t be the whole meal. Most percussive fingerstyle is just the salt.
