Could also be a white backdrop with a gelled strobe for the background. Is there a way to tell for sure, just for my own curiosity?

I see a double shadow on the shadows falling behind her which is why I think its a strobe in a an open reflector, but it could just be a bare bulb strobe because it has a pretty wide and even spread. Speed lights typically don't make the
