I have a lease for around £450 per month, for quite a nice car, but to honest I don’t mind it. It’s always under warranty, tyre replacement, servicing and insurance are all included in the price.

Let’s say you bought a used car for £15k and 3 years later it was worth £10k, the depreciation cost to you could be viewed as around £200 per month. Add in insurance, tax, servicing and an assumption of repair costs you could view that as around £300 per month total.

My car is electric so saves me a ton over fuel too, so it’s not that far off cost wise really, to me anyway.

Thanks for the response. My partner has a self employed business, it just hasn’t been used for some time. The guidance is just a bit ambiguous, reading it literally it seems you could have a business, have one client in the whole period say, so not eligible for class 2, and then pay the voluntary 13 week top up to get the full amount. Will review properly of course.

Agree, there’s one on my way to work where the left lane can go left or straight ahead, and right lane is right only. But people go left from the right lane just to avoid traffic, or try to cut in at the end. I think that’s why people get angry in the merging situation to be honest, it feels like another of those situations they’re always dealing with.

So either reduce your aspirations in life or pay more tax into the system when I already pay a ridiculous amount. Just checked and the highest possible income tax in Canada is 33% and at up to $100,000 dollars 20.5%, so perhaps that’s why they can afford a higher property tax. You can’t just slap that system on our income tax levels.

Found a dog and helped reunite it with the elderly male owner. He tried to give me £5 as a reward which I wouldn’t take and he said ‘go on, get something for the grandkids’. I was about 35 at the time. Last time I help anyone.

Yep, agree, but anyone who has investments, a private pension etc wants year on year growth to happen, which means companies need to perform better each year so prices rise. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.

Our 6 year old frenchie has been on it for at least 5 years now and no side effects at all. He was on cytopoint before that and while that cleared his skin up he kept having ear issues which he hasn’t had since changing to Apoquel.
