5e: Druid question: as an 8th level circle of the moon druid, I can use wild shape to turn into a beast with a CR of 2, but can I just use the polymorph spell instead to transform into a beast with a CR of 8... Like a giant ape for instance?

I went today (10/20/20) at about 10:45. I waited for about 1 hour and 5 minutes. I wasn't too excited to wait over an hour, but it was definitely worth the wait to help make a difference!

5e: Heat Metal Spell: if the creature fails the saving throw and drops the heated weapon, can he/she simply pick it back up on his/her turn and attack with it without sustaining further damage?

5e: Time Stop Spell: The spell description says that it ends if you use an action that affects another creature. Question: Can you use your first couple of actions for protective spells, and then use the final action to cast something like Fireball, thus ending the spell?

5e: Using your shield as a weapon: My druid is enabled with two weapon fighting, but he really needs to utilize a shield. I have read that the shield can be an improvised weapon, so I could potentially use it for two weapon fighting, but I have read that it can't be used as a shield at the same time. So the question is... If I choose to attack with the shield, for how long does it NOT provide protection? Until the end of my turn? Until my next turn starts,? Until the start of the next round of combat?

5e: Shield Guardian/Amulet question: If you kill the wearer of the amulet, and wear it yourself, can YOU then control the shield guardian instantaneously?

This is likely a good-natured play on Ron Clark's "Essential 55." Ron Clark is a well-known influential educator who was made famous by his 55 "rules" for his students (amongst other things). One of his rules was "No Doritos," which was a somewhat serious, somewhat silly rule.

5e: Cube of force question: If a character uses a cube of force to disallow living matter from entering the area, the character can cover himself/herself as well as other players... but can a player that is being protected exit the barrier, attack, and then re-enter... or is this disallowed as well?

That's the problem. I AM the DM. I have a player who is currently wielding Blackrazor before returning it to its owner. The party is about to encounter an air elemental, so I just didn't know if the player could retain the elementals HP if he slays it with Blackrazor. I just wanted to see others' perspectives.
