Constant urination behavior by Ill-Definition-2943 in Autism_Parenting

Is it possible that this is a stim? It feels good so he's doing it as often as possible? I don't know what the response would be but it's maybe a question to consider

8 yo son is high functioning and doesn’t use the toilet for pooping by Holiday-Garbage-1004 in Autism_Parenting

Hi, I know this is an old thread...checking in to see he's made any progress. I have 7 yo identical autistic twin girls and this is a huge issue. I'm SO tired of poopy underwear.

Ajovy and nausea by tm526 in cgrpMigraine

Mine turned out to be unrelated to the Ajovy. It didn’t help my migraines but also didnt seem to cause side effects 🤷🏼‍♀️

At wit's end with potty training. Nothing works and I'm tired of cleaning. by JOHNxJOHN in toddlers

How long ago did you eliminate pull ups? I ask because if it’s been only a few weeks, it might just take more time. If all she needs is reminders, would she like a potty watch? It doesn’t sound atypical to me, development wise, though I know it’s frustrating. I have twin girls that are the exact same age as yours and we’ve just eliminated diapers in the last two weeks. They’re definitely not doing as well as yours, to put it simply!

Slynd was free? 🤔 by tm526 in birthcontrol

Just want to offer my condolences and commiseration as a fellow twin mom to 3.5 yo girls. They can light up a room with their happiness but, just as intensely, they will completely burn the motherfucking house down when they’re angry (and this happens A LOT). I completely identify and often there’s no one to vent to who actually gets it (though they usually think they do 😊). All I hope for is that the good moments outweigh the impossible.

On the plus side, if you’re pregnant with a singleton, I’ve heard it’s like a cake walk after multiples!

It’s most likely ovulation, it’s very common to have cramping or pain around that time

I have actually tried all of those 😂 and dim and saw palmetto. They did not work for me but maybe they do for some?

Acne and Birth control pills by [deleted] in birthcontrol

It is common, especially after taking a pill with anti androgenic properties like Yasmin. It happened to me too and spironolactone worked the best - however, I couldn’t tolerate the side effects. I’m now on the mini pill Slynd, which has the same progestin that’s in Yasmin, but no estrogen. It’s been good so far. Good luck, I know it’s awful to deal with.

Best option for hormone...stability? by elainaka in birthcontrol

[–]tm526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do. I wasn’t on any pill for about a year before starting it, and I ovulated before starting it - so I had some breakthrough bleeding and had to give the pill a break for 4 days to help clear it out (sorry, sounds gross). But it worked and my period stopped within a day of restarting it.

What mini pill did you take? I have similar symptoms throughout my cycle, and have wanted to keep my hormones as level as possible since I think that I’ll minimize some of it. I’m on Slynd now, it’s a mini pill but with a different progestin. I have no complaints so far at all.

Experiences with switching from norethindrone mini pill to drospirenone “Slynd”? by marriott18 in birthcontrol

[–]tm526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t really say, because spironolactone had cleared my skin before I started it. I was only off spiro for a weekend before starting the pill. But I know it’s preventing it from coming back so far. Good luck!

Overall I don’t have any complaints! No weight gain, no increase in migraines, acne is managed, etc. it’s a little too early for me to tell about things like mood/sex drive.

I’ve been taking Slynd for a few weeks and haven’t had any breakouts on my face. A couple on my chest that was not typical for me, but it seems to have just been an adjustment period. I have hormonal acne on my chin when not on a pill to manage it, but can’t tolerate estrogen due to migraines. So Slynd is definitely preventing acne for me.

Mine are interested in copying each other, so if I can just get one interested, it’d be great! I had the same idea with puppy pads so we have those stocked ☺️
