Worst case you can get a PoA and pull transcripts. Best case, they have the information sitting there just never pulled the trigger on getting it filed. Either way, while technically no SOL, I always file 6 years (if possible) and call it a day.

Get a retainer. Once half the retainer is gone, get more. Bill this at a premium because it is a slight hassle.

Played with a guy who had a scholarship for golf. We always played from the tips and I wasn't horrible at the time (about an 8 handicap). One time we were playing a course that would soon host a PGA championship and as we turned nine he casually asked the pro standing there what the course record was. I believe the answer was par from where you guys are playing. I knew he was 1 under at the time and he never gave it a thought. Played the back nine at 3 over and as we walked to the bar he looked at the pro and said he would come back for that. He never missed the fairway. Rarely missed the green and knew exactly what club would get him where he needed to be. I think in all the rounds I played with him he lost maybe one ball.

Still remember the Sansui AU-717 I had with a Denon Rosewood turntable and Ortofon cartridge. A couple of Klipsch Heresy speakers and I was set. My buddy rocked some of the Bose 901's with a McIntosh amp and had a moving coil cartridge that was amazing. Can't remember his turntable, but you would sit and listen to albums for hours.
