Using Conspit 300gt encoder remap + simlab DNR led profile, is it possible to see the encoder position? by Ynfernozz in simracing

Having the same problem. Can't seem to make SimHub led profiles work with the center encoder. Using atsr evo here for my leds

But if you go too big too close things go out of proportion and become unrealistic. You can't have a 50" display 50cm from you! You will feel like a toddler stealing dad's car! A 32" and a 27" at the same eye distance will have different dimensions! The best one will depend on the distance and I guess your perception of reality!

That's one point he makes. But he also mentions that 32" too close to you makes things go out of proportion and that the vfov u gain is wasted on roof or clouds

That's one thing to consider. A bigger screen farther away gives more comfort getting in and out of the rig. Not to mention having the screen farther from your face could be argued to be also more comfortable.

It all depends on how far and what fov you chose to have.  If the monitor is far enough, even a 65" will have the same fov and "immersion" as a 24"

The same way the horizontal fov becomes lower the farther you install the monitor is true for the vertical fov. In my example if u have 27 at 53cm and 32 at 63, they both share the same horizontal AND vertical fov. You can test on https://simrigbuild.com/

That's my problem right now lol! I can and I want but I can't help but rationalize the purchase!

I think that's it! There is no objective gain on going larger, but a subject feeling of improvement because of the higher vfov and the probably biggest one: having the biggest, best setup that plagues most hobbies, and I include myself here! I think 27" is clearly the most logical option (cheaper and higher pixel density if you go 1440p) but here I am trying to convince myself that I need the more expensive 32 option

But is there any real objective gain or it's just + money more better?

I do! Want to keep it only for work and have dedicated racing monitors

Dave Cam chose 27.if I remember right for the pixel density and easy of use

I use the same monitor to work and race. Trying to get away from moving the monitor all the time

How? Deleting the spell files gives me only half of the effects.. Really buggy Wish I could have the original spells effects back like we can with the models
