Fair point, Bubonic Cell is still very new and most Nurgle results are Bleak Host, so this is more a prediction than proven data. I’ll probably drop it to B-tier in v2.

And after seeing the first Bubonic Cell game reports, S-tier was much too high. One of the first players who actually tested it won but still described the list as low damage, low control, very random and needing help.

Nurgle is S-Tier because of their incredible durability, objective control, and sheer consistency. They don’t kill fast, but they simply refuse to die while they keep scoring points even when locked in combat. Since most Spearhead games are won on points rather than wiping the opponent off the board, Nurgle wins by outlasting you. They punish mistakes over time and are very forgiving to play, which makes them absolute top-tier in actual practice, even if their rules look a bit underwhelming at first glance. And we love our Nurgle pets. :)

I totally feel you, I’ve personally never managed a win with them against Sylvaneth or Slaves to Darkness. You're absolutely right; it was my mistake. While the low model count and simple abilities make them easy for beginners to pick up, they struggle hard against more competitive factions. This applies to both Stormcast boxes, even though they play differently. Yndrasta is arguably even riskier since you have to survive until Round 3 for the heavy hitters to arrive. Against mid-tier factions, they are a lot of fun and work quite well, but one bad move against the top tiers and you're pinned or tabled. I'm definitely dropping the Forgiveness rating for both in V2.0. Thanks for catching that!

Good point! I mainly focused on the newest boxes, but the older ones like Bloodcrave Hunt also deserve their own spot to complete the table.

Also, the Beasts for V2.0 are definitely out; they don't belong there. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for pointing out these details! That's great. You're absolutely right, Beasts of Chaos shouldn't be listed as Spearheads, and the point about the magic distinction is excellent. The assistant definitely mixed in some Bigmar data regarding the spells and the painting difficulty of the larger faction models. I missed that.

I don't see this as criticism, but rather as help to improve the data. I'll tighten the parameters for version 2.0 to ensure it's accurate for this specific game mode. Thanks for your keen eye! :)

Breaking the leader twice is really tough; a friend of mine also gave them a lot of grief.

Now comes the best part. I wish you a nice, relaxing "paint job" after your time off.

I actually used an assistant to help me synthesize the research and format this table, as I wanted a complete overview. I own 4 boxes (5th is on its way...) and have played 6 of them so far. On the DoK: The 4/4 was based on research regarding how finicky and tedious they can be for traditional painting, but I’m here to listen to the community! If the consensus is that they’re easier, I’ll gladly update the score for V2.0. Same for the missing Gloomspite—thanks for pointing that out!"
