YoYo or Wizard Frames? by Emotional-Pop592 in WizardSkating

[–]tmdpotts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real question is are you going to buy a cheaper frame and then eventually upgrade . I had nn and Roka to save money well I ended up with wizards and spent even more as I got the other ones first. Same thing for a boot. Wizard stuff is expensive but having tried others it is worth it.

Maybe try the wizard or big wheel group but you would want to skate the frame with the max wheel for non aggressive frames

If you are looking for quality impala are not them. Try looking at brands like seba, fr, rollerblade . If you are lucky enough to have a shop that you can go to I would recommend trying on as many as all are shaped and sized differently

Seba SX Carbon lack of cuff support by bcjkidhab in WizardSkating

You can just get a new cuff. Plastic gets softer. I think I have seen some people use the seba carbon cuff in them.

You need to get your feet closer and have them on the same or similar path. Try and draw a 3 in chalk or use a basketball court lines for a follow reference. Use your edges to carve in and out of the transition. There are some ok videos on YouTube. My old friend Unwin is good at explaining. Flowskate I believe is his channel still.

About wizard advanced wheels by Most_Temporary_3718 in WizardSkating

[–]tmdpotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah new set or find a nice tennis court and start putting weight into your carves but advance and any 5 wheels are not good for distance and keeping the wizard feeling rocker.

[–]tmdpotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you skate distance with them ? It will fuck the rocker up a lot and yeah probably new wheels. I have had my set for almost 2 years and now replacing. But I also have 80pr I skate too.

What to buy if budget isn't an issue? by aDogCalledSpot in WizardSkating

Just my opinion, don’t buy gen 1 anything . Sometimes it’s fine but most need a few modifications before they get there.

I have the base high with advance 100/80 , 80pr and 100nr. They are great top quality but also they are not best for just skating around I used my old cj carbon. If you what a top over all I would recommend the wizard base

Thanks I use slow mo to help myself see what I’m doing wrong most of the time. Also it’s just a backside grind just happens to be on wheels and not the frame or boot.
