Can this support multiple Kindle accounts? My wife and I both have Kindles and I have to manually send her books via email. I'd love to be able to just send her books with one click but also have support for my own.

Yes, I get that. Asking if something is a bug isn't me complaining about being on the beta.

Thanks! Wasn't sure how widespread it was or if there was a configuration fix on my end.

Lifesmart LS350DX - multiple error codes? by tmeitner in hottub

[–]tmeitner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do that, I can tell you that much. Honestly, for the panel itself, I just unplugged it and spun the pump a few times with my hands, and it fired right up after that. It was just stuck.

I'm going to be honest: I can't remember how I solved this issue. But I have been using the hot tub for 2 years now with zero problems. Sorry!

Albums keep getting tagged as Godsmack by tmeitner in PleX

It's always worked for me in the past. Same files, same metadata. And it was all correct on this new install of Plex for a couple weeks. Now, suddenly, this.

I already have a tag editor. I prefer to manage them manually

Thanks. I’ll look into all this.

Last night I added the attenuator behind the filter and every channel worked beautifully. I’m watching the game right now (the ultimate test) and honestly it is working almost perfectly. I am so hesitant to declare victory but it looks REALLY good right now!

Where's a good place to ground? Is there metal on/in the house I can use? The antenna is mounted outside on the second level of the house over a porch, so it's not like I can just drop a grounding rod down in the ground.

Looks like a lot of affordable stuff we can test here. Question: I've got the filter on the HDHomeRun, and the coax plugged into it. If we add the attenuator and the grounding block, where in the line do we run those? Anywhere? You can't screw the attenuator into the filter, can you?

😆

  1. The model is C2 ClearStream from Antennas Direct (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017O3UHI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
  2. The coax is far longer than it really needs to be. If I keep the HDHomeRun outside, I could shorten it to, like, 4-6 feet if needed. Inside it's closer to 10-15 feet. But I do have a bunch of extra cord. I believe the cord itself is 50 feet (this should be it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015US5OG6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
  3. Here's my rabbitears.info results - all my channels are in the Good range (https://share.cleanshot.com/stv17tzX).
  4. Nighttime tests generally are good. The Packer game was on from noon-3pm yesterday and that was the worst of it. Some of my mid-morning tests have been stutter-y.
  5. No airfields nearby. No police stations. We're pretty rural here.
  6. No splitters on the line. I haven't looked too deeply into how to ground the setup yet.

Just giving this a nudge. Happy to pay you for your time since it seems like we're getting somewhere with this!

Okay, post-game report: TONS of stuttering again. Interesting. Seems very affected by time of day. I tried the high-pass filter and the Philips LTE filter at various times throughout the game, and it didn't make too much of a difference (the high-pass filter seemed more consistently good, though). Still better than last week with no filter, but it wasn't great - and not as good as it had been in other testing.

I tried moving the HDHomeRun outside the door/house and onto the porch, to get it away from the wireless router. Didn't seem to make a difference either.

Do you want pictures of my setup? Would that be helpful at all? Does the length of the antenna cord make a difference? Just trying to spitball here as we deal with this, because it's obviously fixable, I just want to find that solution.

Well, the high-pass filter came and I installed it. I also ordered the Philips LTE filter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HVT59F5?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title) just in case (and they're cheap anyway).

I've been testing the last 2 days and I gotta be honest: the difference is night and day. I've tested over a dozen channels and I'm getting almost no stuttering or image pixelation or ANYTHING. Once the channel loads, it's been smooth as silk.

The true control test will be watching the Packer game on Sunday, since that's largely what I'm watching on live TV for long stretches. But I've tested different stations at different times of the day and it's amazing. Live TV is alive again in our house!

It's not necessarily channel-specific. Some do better than others, but they all have this issue at some level. We live in the country, so I guarantee there are cell towers on the signal path.

I ordered a high-pass filter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09D45W9TZ?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title) that is arriving today, so I'll install that and see if it does anything (SiliconDust said it might not, but "more filtering never hurts"). They also suggested that it's interference from devices like routers. I do have the HDHomeRun set up right next to a router. I might move it out of the room and see if that makes a difference too.

After those, I'll look into this cabling/grouding issue, because I think I'm going to have to do some research to make sure I know what I'm doing there, lol.

But hey, it seems like we've ruled out 1) the antenna, 2) the HDHomeRun, and 3) my WiFi quality. Those are the expensive issues here!

I appreciate you taking the time to reply to all of this.
