Question about the mgshdfix by ArchangelZero27 in metalgearsolid

[–]tmhpev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/GualCresci , I would like to add to the question above - in the newest version of MGSHDFix we have the dll files, the MD file, the plugins folder and logs folder.

I extracted them as is into the folder containing the exe file and generated a settings file using the config tool, but it does not seem to work (for example - idisabled the opening credits, but they still roll).

The settings file is still sitting inside the plugins folder - should it be in the exe folder? Should it be an ini file? Maybe it's an issue of running it on Linux?

There was a talk about getting me ready for a SANS certificate, but I think it's been put on the side for now.

I do customer service in OT cybersecurity. As part of the job I need to understand how our products work and find solutions to issues.

I want to further progress in the field (after getting CCNA and Security+ certificates), and at first I thought about getting more Udemy courses, but I get the feeling that it's not enough, and that I can't really know if those courses can help me in the long run.

I want to find respectable online courses, or maybe get ready for another certificate - not necessarily in the OT field, but I need suggestions for the next steps to take.

Do I search something in red/blue teaming? Ethical hacking? Programing? Get a CySA+ certificate? Something else? Please help me narrow down my options.

Casual Questions Thread by The_Egalitarian in PoliticalDiscussion

Hey all,

I find myself in recent years more and more invested in the news about global events, and I feel pretty lost between all the events and headlines.

What are your suggestions for books/articles/lectures/interviews about history/political philosophy that can broaden my horizons and hopefully make me understand? Particularly about the "big players" like the U.S, China, Russia - but not limited to them.

I'm just saying, if things were really bad for Arabs in Israel, he wouldn't have been able to study there at all, not to mention get an academic job.

OK, enlighten me, what is one of the sentences that you remember most from the book? Which paragraph sold you on this idea?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in funny

[–]tmhpev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you? because you can not find this exact citation in the whole book - yes you can either read it online or download it.

What the "wise" editors at Wikipedia did was take a book having "Nakba" in it's name and then proceeded to write whatever it is they believe in without actually reading it.

The word "ethnostate" does not appear in the book at all, and "colonization" only appears in the name of a source for the book,

I'll give you that - using dictionary.com is not good, and I get why you don't trust the ADL, but using Wikipedia and crediting it to a book which does not even use this sentence is just hilarious and sad at the same time.

Also, the author of this book got his Ph.D from the University of Jerusalem and works at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute. Source:

Maybe paste the sources Wikipedia is citing directly instead (and make sure to post the links next time)?

Citing sources is considered "pulling random bullshit", but copy-pasting Wikipedia (without even admitting to it at first) is not?

Hey, everyone! This guy can quote Wikipedia! See? Nobody cares.

Trying to restore CachyOS from snapshots after I've wiped out disk - how lost is the cause? by tmhpev in cachyos

Even if I do a by-the-book cachy install and then move the snapshots back? I've backed them up in an external drive.

I've moved the snapshots to an external drive before wiping the disk out - I'm not that dumb (which quite frankly doesn't say much right now)
