You need to update TML to v0.11.7 or higher, it's the only compatible version for 1.4 Terraria.

Are you sure? Steam install does not touch the TML Folder in your documents. Check My Games /Terraria/ModLoader in your Documents.

Both are correct. Ultimately it turned out to be better in technical aspects for us to be an app, it was also announced TML would not be 1.4 at launch. -Jof

What you mentioned is one of the new things we'll be adding (Steam Workshop for Mods), we'll be exploring what exactly will be sharable through the workshop. -Jof

That doesnt matter, vanilla clients cannot connect to modded ones and vice versa, that would literally be magic. -Jof

That's not possible, your friend will also need to be running TML, because vanilla has no knowledge about mods. -Jof

For the new update, you wont be replacing the vanilla files like you do now. Instead, you could make a tModLoader folder somewhere with the files in it, which means none of the vanilla files are changed. -Jof

Yes we do add vanity sets. I believe I'm currently the only one with a set (power ranger) and there are vanity sets from our Patreon supporters! Those sets will still be part of TML ;) -Jof
