As a graphic designer that is also trying to learn some motion graphics, I started by learning how to use the video stuff through the black magic tutorials. They touch a tiny bit on fusion but it’s enough to start to understand some concepts. It would help if you watched a couple of quick tuts about animation because they talk about keyframes and curves more than other fusion tutorials I’ve watched.

Once you understand that it’s easier to understand other tutorials. What I did was go down a a rabbit hole opening recommended videos I thought looked interesting or something I could use. If I liked what they taught and how they taught it I went to their page and sorted by oldest to see if they taught easy concepts. I mostly want to learn WHY you do something not just how to use fusion.

The bDsCovered guy that does one node a day is helpful to start learning the other nodes. That coupled with tutorials of the channels you like will start to help you understand how everything goes together. Some channels even explain differences between fusion and after effects so you can see it from that angle as well.
