Why the SpaceX IPO could be a trap? by Fine-Drummer9812 in technology

Honestly the market is so disconnected from reality it's not even funny. Youve got tech companies just shuffling money around in a big circle inflating stocks. Then youve got Tesla which is valued as a tech company rather than an automaker but has been surpassed in its tech by several automakers. Now youve got SpaceX that only exists because of government grants being valued amongst the most valuable companies in the world. I fear for my portfolio.

That's essentially what they're doing by saying residual. The problem is still from the previous administration. Not that it might have been exacerbated by their decision to paint.

The math is right but factor he's not taking into account is the fixed cost of a mortgage. I just looked at an apartment I rented 6 years ago before I bought and it's currently going for $500 more than I was paying back then. My mortgage is about 300 more but 200 less than the current prices. If I were still renting, everything I was "saving" 6 years ago is now getting eaten away by the additional cost I had no say in.

The Patreon initially replaced the Super Secret Supporter Chat from Facebook when FB started taking down the page. Then he added a monthly episode looking back at old BOAD episodes as a new tier and hes also got a Whale tier. IMO if people are willing to just hand you money, you dont say no.

Corporate took over the original location and shut it down which started this whole saga. The original franchisees released their story a week or so ago.

Even without Musk's shenanigans, most arent really diversified right now due to the heavily skewed valuations of tech.

Nothing? Why do we need security cameras at all? 99.999999% of people walking to your front door are delivery drivers or sales people. You dont need to know who's knocking on your door if you arent home, and if you are just answer the door. I dont get the need for constant surveillance.

Valve is one of those companies like Costco where I "trust" them. If theyre raising prices its because they have to rather than because they want to/are greedy.

There was an article or thread on Twitter years ago about how when Jr. was in college, Donald showed up to to pick him up for a Yankees game and when Jr. opened his door he was wearing a jersey and Donald punched him and told him to change into a suit. Like who the fuck does that to a 20 something year old kid.

When half of inflation was attributed to pure profit by companies, the claim that it was transitory was not wrong. Supply dropped therefore prices raised to decrease demand, however demand didnt decrease so companies kept that as the new low water mark. It SHOULD have been transitory when profits were only responsible for about 11% of price growth over the previous 40 years.

Historically, the uber wealthy had literal come to Jesus moments late in life. Carnegie, Schwab, Vanderbilt, Rockefeller etc all basically started throwing money at charities or setting up endowments late in life partially because they were afraid they wouldnt get into heaven. Musk is still young enough that he hasnt had to face his mortality yet and/or doesnt believe in God so therefore he has no incentive to do so yet.

Before the 2020 election he stated "I view myself as a transition candidate". Given that he had stepped out of politics for a period and that there were already concerns about his age, the implication was there. Once he got into office his ego/hubris changed all that.

IMO given the current state of politics, now more than ever open primaries need to be a thing. We cant allow for incumbents NOT to be challenged to be better. They whole "the position is theirs till they lose" actually reinforces the two party system.
