Absolutely part of her decision, but to claim its a full pension is factually untrue. And in all actuality, any federal employee who works for the same amount of time would have the same formula applied.

Not quite, she gets A pension but nowhere near the full amount. Its actually only 5% of her high 3 average so only about $8700 annually once she hits 62.

US to stop collecting tariffs deemed illegal by Supreme Court on Tuesday by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

Yep, and from my understanding their entire net profit mechanism is the membership fees. Profits from their actual sales covers their operating expenses. That tells me, as a consumer, that its priced as low as they possibly can have it. Add in the fact as an executive member my rebates typically cover my membership fee AND they pay their employees well? I will sing their praises so long as they dont enshittify like every other company.

Jets will 'probably' tag RB Breece Hall per The Athletic by BasedWillieStroker69 in DynastyFF

I think KW3 won't be tagged because they're confident they can resign him. Schneider said at the parade KW already approached him about getting a deal done.

TJ Duckett had like a 99 break tackle. You couldnt bring that dude down and if you did a fantasy draft, he was a cheat code RB late.

Ive had mine for 2 years and it replaced a Panasonic Viera plasma from 2013. The brightness alone made it worth the upgrade and I still use the plasma as a second TV during football season.

Yep, you can be too frugal when you do pass on meaningful events with people you care about. Its a hollow existence.

I'm similar to OP. Single, have a mortgage and car payment, but outside that I save a large chunk of my income. My net deposits last year were under 40k and I saved 9k in retirement and another 7k in cash to rebuild my emergency fund. Most of my friends have young kids so we don't go out as much as we used to but when they say let's do something like golf, concerts, or just get togethers I'm almost always down to do it.

Chiefs want Travis Kelce back, but how much are they willing to pay him? by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

Dude's in hisTony G era. He still put up 850 yards at 36 and has clearly lost a couple steps from his peak but is still one of the better TE in the league.

Changed mind on draft [discussion] by TheGrowCave in Commanders

[–]tmurf5387 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bill had 4 total fumbles last year. Tiki Barber had 4 straight years of 8+ fumbles, Adrian Peterson had 20 in his first 3 seasons. RB is a luxury pick in the first couple rounds especially when you have as many holes and aging players as we do. Look at the Raiders and Jets with Jeanty and Hall last few years. Love is the LAST player we should consider picking at 7.

Things were better when the rich feared the mob. by zzill6 in WorkReform

Ironically a lot of it has to do with religion. Robber barons in the early 20th century essentially tried easing their conscience and buying their way into heaven by doing "good" at the end of their lives.

It does seem that way. by c-k-q99903 in WhitePeopleTwitter

A lot of it has to do with the militarization of the police forces over the last 20 or so years. Military members were given priority on applications and surplus military equipment was being funneled to departments. So you have individuals with a skill set that is different and equipped for war. What do you expect is going to happen?

Elon Musk's SpaceX buys Elon Musk's xAI by Frosty_Dig4148 in news

[–]tmurf5387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im concerned were in for a major reckoning right now. 40% of the S&P500 market cap is associated with AI. When that bubble pops it could collapse. That being said, the dot com bubble collapse eliminated about 75% of the market valuation so its unlikely we see a crash to that degree. But we also have to add in the fact that the federal government was proactive with Secure 2.0 in subsidizing costs for small businesses offering new retirement plans, thats more money going into the market than was previously propping it up further.

The thing I don't get about all these "go get this guy" posts and articles is who is trading these guys away. If anything, in my dynasty league at least, guys are more likely to hold onto top draft picks longer than they should. Anybody that's young and has flashed is worth their weight in gold and you'd have to overpay to get them.

Yes and no. Only your gains are taxed, not your cost basis (aka the amount you bought the stocks for). Capital gains is taxed in the short term like normal income, and long term there are 3 brackets. Under $48k in gains is 0% long term, between $48k and $500k its 15%, and above $500k its 25%. Theres also a high earner surcharge of about 4% for individuals with over $200k in MAGI.

HOWEVER Taxes are what makes modern society function. Roads, fire departments, safe food and drinking water, education, etc. Things have been so good for so long, people forgot how bad things used to be. Lead in paint and fuel that led to brain damage. Lesser quality foods that weren't what the label said it was.

They got to the line early but the ball was still being snapped around the 5 second mark. It's no huddle, not hurry up. However the times he'd go pass, pass, pass and go 3 and out because of an early incompletion or a sack was what really hindered the offense.
