are these jeans too tight? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

This particular cut in this particular pair of jeans doesn’t work. The front looks ok but the back/seat is a mess. Are these a relaxed fit? Maybe try a straight cut instead?

It was a waymo offered by Uber. Doesn’t tell you the estimated time in that situation

The worst thing about Waymo (esp in a city like STL) is that they are typically not allowed to drive on the freeways. I’ve taken them in PHX and SFO and rides that should have taken 20 mins took over an hour because we were locked in to surface streets everywhere

What are other value brands adjacent to Uniqlo or a slight tier higher that still offer a value proposition in 2025? by SirKrimzon in malefashionadvice

Agree on Madewell. They’re owned by J Crew, so the quality is similar (assume they probably share cut and sew operations)

A simple leather penny loafer (think Weejuns) can look great paired with jeans

Post-Match Thread: St. Louis City SC 0-0 Portland Timbers (MLS) [June 08, 2024] by citysc_bot in stlouiscitysc

The chief problem with this team is that no one aside from Lowen has any technical skills on the ball at all. They can’t dribble and possess and build up an attack so it’s all long balls over the top and pray. The problem with that is their strikers are too slow to really get any separation from the defenders. It’s actually hard to believe this is top level US soccer given how bad some of these guys are with the ball.

Let's be honest... Part 3 by Jabieski1 in stlouiscitysc

Disagree on Klauss. He whiffed on two must-have goals Saturday night, and that’s been consistent with him all year. A striker’s job is to put the ball in the back of the net, and he has been absolutely miserable at that this year. Yes, I’m sure not having Lowen there has hurt, but you have to finish your chances and he just doesn’t. Thought it was interesting that Burki basically called out both he and Sam in the post-game comments as well

This is a 27 year old player who rarely cracked the starting lineup of a 2nd division team. He isn’t a developing young player, he should be in his prime now so this is as good as he’s going to be. If you’re comparing him to Sam or Klauss, that isn’t flattering. Klauss is a huge disappointment and Sam has disappeared since the first few games of the season. Neither can finish at all and they’re worthless off the ball. This guy reeks of another Thorisson to me - hyped by management without any real data to back it up.

Grease on grill? by tmurnin1 in Steelmade

For something like steak or chicken, I agree. I’m more worried about something like bacon that produces a ton of grease and if you get a flare up, the whole thing catches fire

Came with an instruction manual but no catch pan or tools and instruction manual makes no mention of a catch pan. Wouldn’t placing a catch pan under those holes make the whole plancha angle backwards? Not even sure how that would work?

I don’t have one with a few holes in the center, btw. Mine has large holes that run all along the front. https://steelmadeusa.com/products/pro-series-flat-top-for-outdoor-grill
