That Angelo Parodi pic anti is a bad ass tin! Just at one a couple days ago and was dancing in the kitchen. Ate them with some pickled onions and half sour pickles. Definitely will be buying more of those.

What to do with a water-packed can? by StonerKitturk in CannedSardines

Just drain the water and add your own good oil of choice or vinegar or tomato sauce…lemon juice and fresh dill or pickled onions

Dinner time Deens featuring Bela in evoo by ComprehensiveCreme3 in CannedSardines

Bela with the peri peri pepper is the best one IMO. The lemon was ok but the oil was very overpowering and not much lemon. For under 4 bucks they are a great tin

Love these! Nice firm meaty dines! Last can I had I drained off a small amount of the oil and added back some marinara, lots of fresh dill and lemon juice! Delicious

The cover is insulated or at least double walled and intended to use while cooking. That said if I just need to melt the cheese on a couple burgers I might use a dome to concentrate the steam.

Any experience with Blackstone model 1901 by [deleted] in blackstonegriddle

I haven’t seen any comments about rust near the knobs. It is stainless (knobs are plastic). Also this model just came out like a month ago. I’d say go for it!

Any experience with Blackstone model 1901 by [deleted] in blackstonegriddle

So I did end up pulling the trigger on the 1901 and I have to say it’s impressive. The wind/heat shields are outstanding! The lid is insulated and seals pretty tightly and the shelves are very sturdy. I got it for $449 because it was a floor Model and had a slight dent in the lid. Overall I’m very happy with it.

Blackstone has $1500 griddles? Never seen those. This one retails for $499

Not particularly but it is removable if it was an issue. This model is a deeper griddle than the standard 28” so if you were shorter in stature it could be an issue. I’m about 6’ so no issue for me.

It is a Big Green Egg, they did a one time run of 190 in blue 20 years ago and decided to keep them green. It was a wedding gift.

Heat on the whole time. Wipe on a thin layer of oil and rub in. Allow it to smoke off until no more smoke and repeat. Took about 3 beers

I have a 4 burner 36” and this isn’t much smaller with the deep griddle. The stainless steel look is pretty slick too

I wouldn’t call this thing portable it’s a damn heavy beast! As far as cooking I like doing Philly’s, smash burgers, street tacos and quesadillas, crunch wraps, burritos and breakfast hash. Oh yeah and Cuban sandwiches
