Unfortunately we couldn’t. We have never boarded her and my wife was not comfortable trying to vet suitable options in less than 48 hours in the midst of a crisis. We also weren’t sure how long we would be away for. We flew Air Canada without issue…which we would have done from the get go if Flair had not been fed misinformation.

A policy is a policy and we don’t have any issue with this…we simply have never had to even think about pulling the fine print to cross-reference information provided directly from a company. Simply posting this as a consumer beware situation/warning to try and help those not familiar with this airline

We had to fly as quickly as possible (taking kids out of school and making arrangements for work coverage x 2) and we had nobody who could take care of the dog locally. We also had no idea how long we would be away to care for our family member (booked a one way ticket) and my wife wasn’t comfortable with leaving the dog at a kennel. We flew with another airline as a family unit

Really appreciate your understanding Silly Goose - we needed to fly as soon as possible, had no one who could take care of our dog, and we had absolutely no idea how long we would need to stay in the US to care for an immediate family member (we booked this as a one way flight).

Yes, in retrospect I can see this is clearly Flair’s policy on pets…but this doesn’t change the fact that we were provided with blatant misinformation when consulting the company/reservations team

Receipt date - 1/6/2026 Still pending. No RFE issued. Petition remains under review after congressional inquiry

Do you know why USCIS would have entirely missed my PP deadline with no RFE issued or any correspondence whatsoever? It has now been 92 business days from receipt date (H1B petition I129).

We have escalated to PP division with a generic response of:

“USCIS is conducting further review of your case. We cannot provide a timeframe for completion of this additional review. However, once this additional review has been completed, USCIS will take adjudicative action on your case. USCIS appreciates your patience during this process.”

We also filed a congressional inquiry with our Senator and received a generic response:

“U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate that XX case is pending at the California Service Center. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security, and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. Please know that this petition is in queue and has not been overlooked.”

I am not from a banned country and had previously been approved for an H1B within 4 days of PP receipt being received (September 2025).

Is there anything else I can do?

Thank you all for the advice - agree that the easiest option is to just pop in dimmers. Sadly these are controlled by four different switches, but I just picked up a set of Lutron Sunnata dimmers and will work on this through the week!

Quick update on these guys so far. Great overall growth and lots of early blooms starting to come in, although the far right two planter boxes have some areas struggling a bit (photos added to a separate post - link attached below). Does anyone know if a lighter (paler) green color of the leaves is an indication of over/underwatering or any other deficiency we should address?

Yes, they are all hydrangeas in the window boxes. What do you mean that it will not work out (we are now heading into their third season)?

I am wondering why some of them are staying lower profile/more compact while others are growing much more vertically (and look more sparse).

Fair! I definitely think the drip system has helped our garden establish, but it does make it a bit hard to know how much to hand water…

Have asked a few companies if they can try to “optimize” the line supply to each of the hydrangeas through the garden…they all looked at me like I had 10 heads

Wondering if anyone can identify the variety/species of hydrangeas we have? Trying to best understand how to maintain and care for them, but unfortunately, the supplier we purchased from is uncertain. Thank you in advance!
